“The earnestly naive Bernie Sanders is who the Democratic party wants to be. The corrupt and venal Hillary Clinton is who they are.”
—  AlphabetShoe

Let’s be honest here. Bernie Sanders may caucus with the democrats in the Senate, but he is not a member of the democrat party. The so called “mainstream media” calls him an “independant.” He calls himself a socialist. To be fair, about two thirds of the democrats in Congress are also members of the DSA. So Bernie just may be more honest than most of the congressional democrats.

Bernie Sanders’ stump speeches include statements about the US Mexico border and immigrants, legal and illegal, that make Trump sound like an open borders guy. I’ve seen this described as “nativist” behavior. That is a modern code word for nationalist. Bernie Sanders is a Nationlist Socialist who continously expresses his concern for the workers. If that is what you are looking for in a modern democrat, you need to review your early to mid 20th century history

Round Up Post

Thursday, January 9th, 2014

Let’s start with a few firearm/RKBA articles.

James Craig became the Detroit Police Chief last summer.  Before that he spent decades working in the Los Angeles Police Department before becoming the Chief of Police in Portland, Maine.  In LA, pretty much the only people with firearms are cops and violent criminals.  The restrictive, so-called “gun control” laws haven’t really slowed down the rate criminals can obtain firearms.  In Portland, Maine, firearm ownership among the law abiding is pretty common.  Another difference is the violent crime rate.  High in LA, low in Portland.  Chief Craig’s advice for reducing crime in Detroit (which approaches Robocop levels), is more firearms in the hands of law abiding citizens. Here is one of multiple studies that back Chief Craig’s advice.

San Francisco is pretty diverse, it even has pro-Second Amendment liberal democrats.  These folks are pretty far left wackos despite this one gleam of sanity in the world view.  Hell, they don’t like our Dear Leader because he’s “too conservative” in their view.  Probably upset he hasn’t rounded up Republicans and shipped them off to death re-education camps yet.

Here is a question that many law abiding citizens who have actually read the Constitution ask themselves, “My next AR, build or buy?”

Can’t leave the epic Charlie Fox known as Obamacare off the list.  “Glitches” in the bloody website are still rampant, leaving many without coverage.  Keep in mind, that in the time it took the Obama administration to build a really crappy website, America build almost 100 aircraft carriers during WWII.  Plus the aircraft for the carriers, and the support vessels, and trained the crews.

For your reference when dealing with moonbats and Obama cultists8 Things Liberals Do to Avoid Having an Honest Debate.

Let’s wrap up with a look at how the Obama Economy is working for America.  “34%: The unemployment rate for Americans ages 16-17. The unemployment rate for teenage Hispanic Americans is 48%, and the rate for teenage Black Americans is 60%.”  Ya, just how is that hopey-changey thing workin’ for ya?

Leftist bias vs. reality

Thursday, March 21st, 2013

I was listening to a tech podcast where a couple of California were making fun of Texas Governor Rick Perry.

Let’s compare Texas under the leadership of Gov. Perry to California under Governor Moonbeam.

Let’s start with unemployment for January 2013

Texas: 6.3%

California: 9.8%

The federal U3 rate for January was 7.9%

So Texas was under the national rate by 1.3% while California was over the national rate by 1.9%

Take a look at job growth in Texas vs. California, and population shifts.  The people California needs to pay its criminally high tax rates are leaving California.  One of the more popular destinations of those fleeing Governor Moonbeam’s socialist paradise is Texas.

It’s clear that the tech reporters in question were laughing based on their leftist political bias, and not economic reality.

Quote of the Day

Thursday, March 14th, 2013

“For serious Buddhists, it’s not hard at all to admit the non-attainment of the ultimate metaphysical state of Nirvana — it’s supposed to be hard, and can take a lifetime. (Or, you know, several lifetimes.) But liberals have this notion that believing in liberalism is itself a very efficient shortcut to that exalted state of emptiness of ego. A Kerry-Edwards bumper-sticker gets you pretty much as far as a lifetime of devotion to the teachings of Krishna.”

Lefties are all worked up over the strangest things…

Tuesday, February 26th, 2013

Ya, I know, not much a surprise.  Reality really isn’t one of their strong points, so they don’t respond to the same stimuli as sane people.

One common trait amount so called “progressives” is that nothing is ever their fault.  For example, I saw a moonbat on Facebook arguing that it was the Republicans who were trying to kill the US Post Service.  The USPS is in dire financial straits because the majority of their employees are members of a public service union and they are supposed to operate as a P&L.  Those two are mutually exclusive! Here is a news flash, it wasn’t the Republicans, or even moderate democrats who inflicted public service unions on the American tax payer.  Hell, even FDR, the uber-progressive, said they were a bad idea. Will any leftist admit that the USPS is royally screwed because their policies have inflicted ruin? Of course not! They can never admit fault!  So it must be the fault of the “evil Republicans” for not wanting to flush more tax payer dollars down the toilet created by leftist “progressive” policies.

Yet another example of the “tolerant and opened minded liberal” going hyper-partisan at Warp Speed.  The only thing going for the Republicans in these attack is that there isn’t a clear Republican leader they can go all Alinsky on. Nobody to destroy personally in order to get their base of low information voters  all lathered up in a series of two minute hates.  They need their Emmanuel Goldstein.  They have tried their racist attacks on Rubio and Cruz because they fear popular conservatives with a minority background.  So they want to punish them for straying off the plantation.   So far, the left’s pathetic attempts have resulted in a major fund raiser for Rubio.

Our Dear Leader’s Ego

Wednesday, September 5th, 2012

Clearly, our Dear Leader, Barack Hussein Obama, the “Lightbringer”, has fallen into the trap of believing his own marketing.

The proof of this is this recent interview with Cathleen Falsani of the Chicago Sun-Times:

Falsani: Do you believe in sin?

Obama: Yes.

Falsani: What is sin?

Obama: Being out of alignment with my values.

That’s right folks. According to our Dear Leader, if you disagree with him, you are a sinner.

Let’s leave all the implications of his psychology issues alone for a moment, and oh boy, are there a lot of them, and instead look at BHO’s supporters, or as he refers to them, worshippers.  These barking moonbats are a flutter over the fact that Gov. Romney is a member of the LDS church.  They will tell you, every chance they get, that this disqualifies him for public office.

The fact that they are blindly following a leader who literally believes that  “alignment with my values” is a sin does not cause any contradiction with them is very enlightening also.

HT to Mr. Reynolds, Mr. Kimball and Mr. Driscoll.

What did Maddow know and when did she know it.

Thursday, June 9th, 2011

Hardly surprising was that MSNBC “commentator” and far left extremist, Rachal Maddow was stanch and aggressive supporter of Rep. Weiner as he lied to the press, his constituents, his staff, his wife and the rest of the world every time he opened his mouth.

Maddow put forth every moonbat conspiracy theory on exactly Weiner was hacked by an evil “vast right wing conspiracy”  posted on the DailyKos, every single one of them were empirically proven wrong BTW, as the “Gospel Truth”tm.

Not that Maddow let the actual truth slow her down.  She is now trying to down play the whole thing with her sex scandal chart

The real question, however, is “What did Maddow know and when did she know it?

One of Weiner Cyber-Mistresses had contacted the Maddow show back on June 3, 2011. The Maddow show wanted nothing to do with this information.  Perhaps if the Cyber-Mistress had said the dirt was on a Republican, the Maddow team would have been all over it.  Or was it the last thing they wanted to, ahem, touch was news about a political sex scandal right when the democrat party‘s attack congressman’s online habits were just hitting the news?

Another example of the “tolerant” left

Monday, June 6th, 2011

Sydney Morning Herald columnist Richard Glover is calling for anyone who disagrees with his Luddite views on “man made” global warming to be forcibly tattooed against their will.

“Surely it’s time for climate-change deniers to have their opinions forcibly tattooed on their bodies.

Not necessarily on the forehead; I’m a reasonable man. Just something along their arm or across their chest…”

Yup, another example of how there is nothing quite so intolerant and closed-minded than a “tolerant and open minded liberal.”

Probably closer to the truth here is the maxim, “Scratch a liberal and you’ll find a fascist.”

Happy Lenin’s birthday (a.k.a “Earth Day”)

Friday, April 22nd, 2011

Yup, it’s time for the annual Lenin’s Birthday post.

Yup, “Earth Day” is on Lenin’s Birthday.  Not a coincidence, given that the “founder” of Earth Day was much more a “Watermelon” than an actual environmentalist.

Watermelon: Thin layer of green of the outside, red to the core.

The celebrations start with a round up of predictions from the very first “Earth Day” back in 1970.

“Civilization will end within 15 or 30 years unless immediate action is taken against problems facing mankind.” — George Wald, Harvard Biologist

“Population will inevitably and completely outstrip whatever small increases in food supplies we make. The death rate will increase until at least 100-200 million people per year will be starving to death during the next ten years.” — Paul Ehrlich, Stanford University biologist

“By…[1975] some experts feel that food shortages will have escalated the present level of world hunger and starvation into famines of unbelievable proportions. Other experts, more optimistic, think the ultimate food-population collision will not occur until the decade of the 1980s.” — Paul Ehrlich, Stanford University biologist

“It is already too late to avoid mass starvation,” — Denis Hayes, chief organizer for Earth Day

“Demographers agree almost unanimously on the following grim timetable: by 1975 widespread famines will begin in India; these will spread by 1990 to include all of India, Pakistan, China and the Near East, Africa. By the year 2000, or conceivably sooner, South and Central America will exist under famine conditions….By the year 2000, thirty years from now, the entire world, with the exception of Western Europe, North America, and Australia, will be in famine.” — Peter Gunter, professor, North Texas State University

“Scientists have solid experimental and theoretical evidence to support…the following predictions: In a decade, urban dwellers will have to wear gas masks to survive air pollution…by 1985 air pollution will have reduced the amount of sunlight reaching earth by one half….” — Life Magazine, January 1970

“At the present rate of nitrogen buildup, it’s only a matter of time before light will be filtered out of the atmosphere and none of our land will be usable.” — Kenneth Watt, Ecologist

“Air pollution…is certainly going to take hundreds of thousands of lives in the next few years alone.” — Paul Ehrlich, Stanford University biologist

Ok, Ehrlich was sorta right on this, if you restrict his predictions to modern Communist China, where they are showing the typical communist/socialist contempt for the environment.

“By the year 2000, if present trends continue, we will be using up crude oil at such a rate…that there won’t be any more crude oil. You’ll drive up to the pump and say, `Fill ‘er up, buddy,’ and he’ll say, `I am very sorry, there isn’t any.’” — Kenneth Watt, Ecologist

Now we get to my personal favorite, although probably not Al Gore‘s…
“The world has been chilling sharply for about twenty years,” he declared. “If present trends continue, the world will be about four degrees colder for the global mean temperature in 1990, but eleven degrees colder in the year 2000. This is about twice what it would take to put us into an ice age.” — Kenneth Watt, Ecologist

It wouldn’t be Lenin’s Birthday with out this clip of the late George Carlin discussing “Saving the Planet.”

Mark Levin calls MSNBC on their Hate Speech

Tuesday, January 18th, 2011

The Radio Equalizer reports that conservative talk show host and author Mark Levin has offered $100,000 for evidence that Gov. Palan “promoted the murder of anyone”, as the leftist media, including several MSNBC hosts have declared.

Levin has also threatened to sue MSNBC hosts Chris Matthews and Ed Schultz for stating on air that Jared Lee Loughner was somehow influenced by Levin and [conservative talk show host] Savage when he went on a killing spree at an event hosted by congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords. Giffords, as you remember was a Pro-Life, fiscally conservative democrat, and that Loughner was described by his friends as a liberal with a severe case of BDS.

The left has clearly been trying to use this tragedy to push their agenda, despite having all the facts against them.  Good on Mark Levin for calling them out on it.
