Deficit grows $90 billion a month under democrat rule

Daniel Foster points out the democrats spendthrift ways:

That means that over twelve years of Republican rule, there was an average annual budget deficit of about $104 billion. Compare that with an average annual deficit since 2008 of $1.074 trillion — or about $90 billion per month.

For those of you with bad math skills, let me sum this up for you.
Every month, the democrats come within 90% of increasing the deficit of what it took the Republicans an entire year to do.

Republican and fiscal conservative voters removed the Republican party from power because that party was spending too much money, putting a burden on the economy and not holding back government growth.

Independent fiscal conservatives, including many who are registered as democrats, are not going to reward the democrat party with their votes in 2010 for behavior that is much, much worse than what the Republican party did.

Obama goes Carter

Our Dear Leader had a choice to make. As I pointed out before, he could have followed the path of former two term President Bill Clinton, or the path of former one term President Jimmy Carter.

Obama decided to go Carter, big time. In last night’s State of Barack speech (it was much, much more about Barack Hussein Obama than it was the United States of America), our Dear Leader, in the face of rapidly declining popularity, and faith in, both him and his far left agenda, decided to double down on his two most unpopular programs.  Those are his so-called “health care reform” package, better known as Obamacare and the job killing “Cap and Tax” bill.

Here is all you need to know about Obamacare, Howard Dean, a medical doctor, former chair of the DNC and general al laround far left extremist barking moonbat, wants it killed.  When the far left and the majority of the Right thinks something is a bad idea, it usually is. There is also the case to be made about having to bribe US Senators, with tax payer money, to vote for it.  Senator Nelson of Nebraska was actually looking out for his state.  He knew that Obamacare would bankrupt his state with unfunded federal mandates.

Barack Hussein Obama needed to act Presidential and show the nation that he is a leader.  Instead, he gave the longest SOTU speech in over 40 years, spending most of it blaming former President Bush and lecturing the American people on how we needed to support his socialist agenda.

He failed to address how he failed to deliver on multiple campaign promises, including transparency and openness in the federal government.  He also failed to deliver on his no lobbyists in government pledge, hiring over a dozen in his administration.  He failed to “change the tone” in Washington, D.C., except to make it worse.  The Reid/Obama/Pelosi run federal government is even more hyper-partisan than it ever was, and they plan on making it even worse in the future. BHO opened up a new front by attacking the Supreme Court during the SOTU speech.

Our Dear Leader rounded out his speech by repeating a bunch of promises he made on the campaign trail that he failed to keep.  Even if he does follow through on some of them, people are still going to be asking why he waited an entire year to do anything about the economy, instead wasting it on socialized medicine that the American people don’t want.

Obama forgot Option #3

Yup, Option #3 looks like the right one. Charles Krauthammer also nails the utter cluelessness of the democrats in the wake of the recent miracle in Massachusetts.

To recap the video, Mr. Krauthammer states that our Dear Leader left out option #3 when discussing how his term in office will be seen.  His record so far is one of mediocrity at best, and he doesn’t show any indication of improvement.  So, he will probably be a mediocre one term President, with ratings that high only because of a fawning press.

New heights in Obama Astroturfing

First we get “Ellie Light.”  This devout disciple of our Dear Leader has more homes than democrat billionaire Senator John Kerry.  She has written a near idential letter to at least 47 newspapers in at least 23 different states. In each case, she claims to be a local resident.  She has made this claim in California, Ohio, Virginia, Wisconsin, Maine, and more, oh so many more.  She has even gone international, with her cloned letters appearing in Thailand and Canada.

What is it that hardcore, far left extremist supporters of our Dear Leader have with the truth?

Patterico has additional examples of cloned, Astroturf letter campaigns claiming to be independent letters of support for the far left agenda of the current administration.

Michelle Malkin points out that the “Ellie Light” Astroturf campaign is just the latest example of Obama theater.  The entire Obama campaign & administration has been Astroturf trying to pass itself off as “populism.”

Liberal buyer remorse over Barack Hussein Obama

It seems that more and more liberals are figuring out that our Dear Leader is not bringing about the “change” they had hoped for.

First we have admitted Obama voter Mort Zuckerman, editor in chief of U.S. News & World Report.

This health-care plan is going to be a fiscal disaster for the country. Most of the country wanted to deal with costs, not expansion of coverage. This is going to raise costs dramatically.
In the campaign, he said he would change politics as usual. He did change them. It’s now worse than it was. I’ve now seen the kind of buying off of politicians that I’ve never seen before. It’s politically corrupt and it’s starting at the top. It’s revolting.

One business leader said to me, “In the Clinton administration, the policy people were at the center, and the political people were on the sideline. In the Obama administration, the political people are at the center, and the policy people are on the sidelines.”
I’m very disappointed. We endorsed him. I voted for him. I supported him publicly and privately.

Let me tell you what a major leader said to me recently. “We are convinced,” he said, “that he is not strong enough to confront his enemy. We are concerned,” he said “that he is not strong to support his friends.”
The political leadership of the world is very, very dismayed. He better turn it around. The Democrats are going to get killed in this election. Jesus, looks what’s happening in Massachusetts.

I can’t predict things two years from now, but if he continues on the downward spiral he is on, he won’t be reelected. In the meantime, the Democrats have recreated the Republican Party. And when I say Democrats, I mean the Obama administration

Next is the far left liberal “economist” Paul Zuckerman.

I’m pretty close to giving up on Mr. Obama, who seems determined to confirm every doubt I and others ever had about whether he was ready to fight for what his supporters believed in.

Barack Hussein Obama’s “change” is nothing but warmed over failed socialist ideas. This is why independents, and 20% of democrats, in Massachusetts, who overwhelmingly voted for him in 2008, rejected Obama’s policies very soundly by electing a Republican who’s stated goal was to block BHO’s horrible and budget take over of the American health care system.

Update: Tech Pundit Jason Calacanis, who was a big Obama supporter just said on the latest episode of TWiT that he is very disappointed with Obama’s lack of leadership.

Not the change you were looking for

As I have pointed out before, our Dear Leader‘s “jobs created or saved” numbers are smoke and mirrors at best.

So how is the Obama White House going to deal with the case of fraud they tried to foist on the American people? Well, based on past behavior, openness and transparency wasn’t anywhere on their list.

Brett Blackledge, of the AP, explains how Team Lightbringer is going to hide their incompetence now.

The White House has abandoned its controversial method of counting jobs under President Barack Obama’s economic stimulus, making it impossible to track the number of jobs saved or created with the $787 billion in recovery money.

Despite mounting a vigorous defense of its earlier count of more than 640,000 jobs credited to the stimulus, even after numerous errors were identified, the Obama administration now is making it easier to give the stimulus credit for hiring. It’s no longer about counting a job as saved or created; now it’s a matter of counting jobs funded by the stimulus.

That means that any stimulus money used to cover payroll will be included in the jobs credited to the program, including pay raises for existing employees and pay for people who never were in jeopardy of losing their positions.

That’s right. The “open and transparent” Obama administration is now going to take credit for “saving or creating” jobs that already exist.

What is clear, is that Obama’s team of Socialists are trying desperately to hide obvious fact that the democrat “porkulus” bill was an utter and complete failure at the stated goal of “stimulating” the economy.  It has been a job killer, not a job creator, and the Team Lightbringer and their co-conspirators in the democrat congressional “leadership” are now trying to make it impossible to accurately track the effect of their pork laden payouts have on the job market, and the economy.

Change comes to Massachusetts!

It’s a bright and glorious day here in the People’s Commonwealth! Over 20% of the registered democrats here joined the sane people and voted for Republican Scott Brown to fill the seat of the late Teddy Kennedy in the United States Senate.

This wasn’t just a case of the democrat Martha Coakley running a really lousy campaign (which she did) or the fact that she was a weak candidate (she was); this was also a direct message to our Dear Leader, Barack Hussein Obama. The voters of Massachusetts just let BHO know that Socialism isn’t the change we were looking for.

How could this happen in the oh so liberal Massachusetts? We residents of the Commonwealth got a sneak preview of ObamaAmerica with our own worthless Governor, Deval “Together We Can” Patrick. Patrick had zero executive experience (none in the private sector or in any government job) when he took over the Governor’s office. His socialist policies, along with his kowtowing to the state employee unions and raising taxes while the state hemorrhages high tech jobs, have given us a unique perspective of what allowing our Dear Leader to implement his socialist policies will do to the country.

This election also proves that Obama has no coattails. Coakley was third democrat candidate that Obama when out to stump for who lost! Yup, Obama is a three time loser! Actually he’s four for four in loses if you count the trip he and Empress Michelle made (on separate planes) to Copenhagen in their attempt to bring the Olympics (and all that lovely graft money) home to Chicago.

Obama has a choice to make now.  Clinton or Carter? When Billy Jeff Clinton got his ass handed to him in the 1994 midterm  elections, he ditched the far left, went centrist and saved his image and got re-elected.  The man actually managed to take personal credit for signing most of the Republican’s “Contract with America” list into law, completely stealing their thunder!  Jimmy “Worst President in the last 50 years” Carter on the other hand descended even farther into a far left death spiral, resulting in him getting his ass handed to him in the 1980 elections.

Which way will Obama go? Personally, my take is that he’s no Bill Clinton.  Barack Hussein Obama has never held a real job in his life and has never had a single executive position before becoming the head of the executive branch of the United States government.  He’s been wrapped in a far left socialist cocoon his entire life.  So ya, I’m betting he’s gonna go Carter big time, with the same results.

Even lefties at CNN are waking up to Obama’s lies

This is just a short step from “I’m as mad as Hell and I’m not taking it anymore!”

Update: A big old “Hi ya!” to all the folks arriving here from some email thread. I’m waiting for it hit my inbox. 🙂

Alert Citizens work better than government bureaucracy

An al-Qaida operative tried to ignite an explosive device on a flight from Amsterdam to Detroit. Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab was know to have terrorist ties, and managed to walk through the security system at a major European airport with an explosive device.

When Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, a Nigerian native and a Muslim, attempted to ignite the device, it was the passengers who noticed that something was wrong, and did something about it.

Mark Steyn nails it:

On September 11th 2001, the government’s (1970s) security procedures all failed, and the only good news of the day came from self-reliant citizens (on Flight 93) using their own wits and a willingness to act.

On December 25th 2009, the government’s (post-9/11) security procedures all failed, and the only good news came once again from alert individuals.

While our Dear Leader and the democrats may have forgotten 9/11, the American people have not.

Update: Our Dear Leader‘s DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano was out quickly to provide the Obama administration spin on this foiled terrorist attack.  Ms. Napolitano’s response shows that she is either a bold faced liar or dangerously incompetent.  Neither one of those options are good for America.

DHS Secretary Napolitano kept repeating the the administration’s spin, “the system worked.”  As I pointed out, that obviously is not the case.  Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab was know to have terrorist ties, and managed to walk through the security system at a major European airport with an explosive device.

Ms Malkin points out:

If the “system” had “worked,” the U.S. consular officials who granted Abdul Farouk Abdulmutallab a short-term visa last June would have revoked it immediately upon being informed by his father that he was a Muslim radical with al Qaeda ties.

If the “system” had “worked,” U.S. consular officials would have never granted Abdulmutallab — a rootless, young, single male — a visa in the first place in compliance with State Department visa regulation 214(b):

If the “system” had “worked,” Abdulmutallab would have been barred from the U.S. like he had been barred from Britain.

Epic Fail for Napolitano.

Is it time to revisit the Carter Doctorine?

The Washington TimesInside the Ring column reports:

A report by the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) states that Iran could use its naval forces to cut off oil shipments through the strategic Strait of Hormuz in the Persian Gulf, where almost a third of all the world’s oil supplies pass.

The report, “Iran’s Naval Forces: From Guerrilla Warfare to a Modern Naval Strategy,” stated that blocking ships from passing through the 90-mile Strait would cause Iran “tremendous economic damage” and that, thus, Tehran would not “undertake a closure lightly.”

“However, given the importance of the Strait, disrupting traffic flow or even threatening to do so may be an effective tool for Iran,” the report, dated fall 2009, said.

The report said Iran could use its Chinese-made C-801/802 anti-ship cruise missiles to “target any point within the Strait of Hormuz and much of the Persian Gulf and Gulf of Oman.”

That brings us to the Carter Doctrine:

The Carter Doctrine was a policy proclaimed by President of the United States Jimmy Carter in his State of the Union Address on January 23, 1980, which stated that the United States would use military force if necessary to defend its national interests in the Persian Gulf region.

That’s right kiddies, “Blood for Oil” is the policy of liberal democrat President, and well known racist, James Earl Carter III. Given our Dear Leader‘s apparent desire to follow in the footsteps of the worst president in the past fifty years, he’ll probably get the US tied up in yet another Middle East quagmire.

For those of you who voted for Barack Hussein Obama thinking he was going to pull the US Military out of Iraq & Afghanistan Right Away, deal with the fact that he played you for a sucker.  “Useful Idiot” would be the term his political idol would use to describe you.
