Obame Regime claims the War Powers Act doesn’t apply to them.

Jake Tapper of ABC news reports on the latest whopper from the Imperial Obama Regime.

Our Dear Leader claims that his unprovoked war on Libya, which presented no immediate threat to the United States of America, does not require Congressional approval.   Why, because it’s just a ‘little war.’   Things like the Constitution and the War Powers Act clearly don’t apply to the whims of Dear Leader under the rule of the Obama Regime.

Let’s take a look at how things are going.

What is it with democrats not paying taxes?

Ok, it’s pretty damn clear by now that one of the reason why democrats are so eager to vote for any tax increase that comes across their desk is that have no intention of ever paying it.

Case in point, democrat Senator from Missouri, Clair McCaskill.  She just “forgot” to pay $287,000 in property taxes on her very own private jet.

Wait! It gets even better! McCaskill signed on in February as a co-sponsor of Senate legislation that would fire federal employees if they are “seriously delinquent” in paying their own federal taxes

Yup, by her own rules, democrat Senator McCaskill should be fired.

Wait yet again! There is still more!  What was McCaskill’s job from 1999 to 2007? She was the state auditor for Missouri!

So let’s review.  We have a current Senator and former state auditor calling for the firing of federal employees who are “seriously delinquent” in paying their federal taxes who just “forgot” to pay $287,000 in property taxes on her personal private jet.

What is no surprise is that Senator McCaskill is a democrat.

Wisconsin Fleebaggers heavily funded by Public Employee Union payments

Color me not surprised.  Here is the, ahem, money quote.

The 14 Wisconsin Democratic senators who fled to Illinois share more than just political sympathy with the public employees and unions targeted by Gov. Scott Walker’s budget-repair bill.

The Senate Democrats count on those in the public sector as a key funding source for their campaigns.

In fact, nearly one out of every five dollars raised by those Democratic senators in the past two election cycles came from public employees, such as teachers and firefighters, and their unions, a Journal Sentinel analysis of campaign records shows. . . .

Quote of the Day

Excellent lecture from Sam of Day by Day:

“…progressives are basically old cross-dressing boomer socialist decked out in your party dress, masquerading as ‘the people’, and hold out the same old, dead, withered 100 year old hands of Marx and Engels.

Britain, France, Germany have all renounced it, and it’s no surprise that that the three biggest bankrupt U.S. states are blue – California, Illinois, and New York.

Sorry, but progressives and multiculturalism are out-dated, incompetent, and well… kinda gross.

After two years of total control by democrat-progressives, we can all see how they match up to reality, n’cest-ce pas?

A President promising efficient government triples the deficit, and blows 3 Trillion with zero result except for 10.3 percent unemployment.

An Attorney General of the Justice Department so riddled with racism he won’t prosecute an open and shut case regarding the Black Panthers.

A Homeland Security head who can only sue states who try and secure the borders she’s responsible for.

Political pundits who claim people haven’t the intelligence to understand the Constitution because it’s ‘100 years old’.

A CIA chief who says he gets the latest intel from CNN – Jan, one could go on for hours…”

If you are not reading Day by Day, you should be.

Culture of Corruption Marches On

Ngozi Pole, the former Office Manager to the late Senator Ted Kennedy, was arrested back in December 2009 on six separate counts of federal fraud and theft. He illegally inflated his salary and submitting falsified records to the Senator’s Chief of Staff in order to hide his theft of tax payer money.

He was found guilty on five counts of wire fraud and one count of theft of government property on Tuesday.   Justice may be a bit slow, but it did come through in the end.  The sentencing will be interesting.

Obamacare mandate struck down as unconstitutional!

From Forbes:

Justice Roger Vinson of the U.S. District Court in Pensacola ruled today that the primary mechanism used by health reform to achieve universal insurance coverage–the individual mandate–is illegal. If his ruling stands it would void the 2,700 page, $938 billion health reform bill passed last year.

“Because the individual mandate is unconstitutional and not severable, the entire Act must be declared void.”

This isn’t the first ruling against Obamacare. Plus, over half the states are suing the federal government over the unfunded mandates in Obamacare.

Obamacare was an extremely unpopular bill that only passed with no Republicans voting for it, and bipartisan support against it.

Meanwhile, in the Commonwealth

Our democrat controlled Legislature voted to keep their action from public view.

The Massachusetts House and Senate voted to kill a Republican sponsored bill to put Committee roll call votes on the Legislature’s website. The democrats want to keep the current rules, which require citizens to drive to Boston during business hours in order to obtain information on how their elected officials voted.

Just what do the democrats in the state legislature want to keep hidden from the citizens of the Commonwealth?

There was also a strict party line vote in the House that killed a Republican sponsored bill that would have prohibited the House from approving any tax hikes without a two-thirds majority on a roll call vote.

OK, so one thing they are trying to hide is that they are going to jack up your taxes, and they want to be able to give political cover to some of the reps by not forcing them to vote for the tax hike.

The Left’s MO

Michelle Malkin nails the left’s MO: Blame Righty: A condensed history

When the Republicans have a bad leader, they admit it, and get rid of them. The left can admit no failure, and when their policies bring bad results, they point their finger and try to pin the blame on their political opponents. The concept of “manning up” is completely and utterly foreign to them.
