Round Up Post

Tuesday, August 5th, 2014

Reality can crack the leftist spin central of HuffPo every once in rare while.  Former MA congresscritter and far left extremist (yes, I’m being redundant) Barney Frank is shocked to discover that our Dear Leader lied to the American People.

Nobody should be shocked to find out that Lois Lerner, of the Obama IRS department, who deliberately, and illegally, targeted conservative groups for unwarranted IRS investigations in order to deny them their constitutional first amendment rights, called those she targeted “crazies” and “a–holes.” What is even less shocking is that the so-called “mainstream” media doesn’t care.

Texas democrat Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee lied to the American people on the floor of congress.  OK, to be fair, given her track record of underwhelming intellectual performance, she may have just not remembered that she was the co-sponsor of a bill to impeach President George W. Bush, that the democrats in the House passed.

On the international front, Japan gives Vietnam six navy ships amid regional tension.  To put it more bluntly, the Japanese government is giving something other than a twitter hash tag to Communist China. By doing so, Japan demonstrates that it has more balls than Barack Hussein Obama, who is mostly phoning it in these days.

Going back to the domestic front, is it a real ‘crisis’ or merely a leftist talking point the democrats can use to steal money from the gullible rubes who wouldn’t recognize real science even it gave them frost bite.

Truesbury, a “…satiric re-imagining of Doonesbury as it would be if the Washington Post and G.D. Trudeau had as much fire in the belly for illuminating the transgressions of a Democrat White House as they did for one run by the GOP.”

The Hypocrisy is getting pretty damn thick

Tuesday, June 24th, 2014

Joe nails it. If the IRS targeting of specific political groups happened under a Republican administration, it would be on the front page of the NY Times for weeks. As one of his guests puts it, “Under a Republican, IRS Scandal Would be a National Obsession.”

This is the double standard of the left.  The moonbats are still freaking out over a traffic jam in New Jersey, but the IRS targeting conservative groups  is a “phony scandal.”

Their hypocrisy knows no bounds.

“Almost everyday someone on MSNBC wets himself over the fact a free citizen somewhere is carrying a gun. Their proposed solution: the State should better enforce its monopoly on violence.”

There is crazy and then there is just being a jerk

Monday, June 9th, 2014

Rachael Maddow is insane, but CNN’s Candy Crowley is just an asshole.

Obama’s favorite water carrier struck again on CNN’s State of the Nation when she actually had the gall to try to compare Bergdahl’s desertion with the capture and torture of John McCain at the hands of Vietnamese communists.

Not Quite the Same Thing

Tuesday, April 8th, 2014

I heard some leftist trying to compare Hobby Lobby to Mozilla firing their CEO based on a political donation eight years ago.

There is a major difference that the leftist decided to ignore.

In the case of Hobby Lobby, the owners of the company are making  very public statement of their company policies based on their personal religious views.

In the case of Mozilla, the CEO was hounded out of office not for his actions as CEO.   He had made no public statement as CEO, or otherwise, about his stand on marriage laws.   He was attacked by activists outside the company for a private political donation made eight years ago.  A donation that should not have been available to the public.  It was known, because of an illegal leak of private IRS data.  A leak done to harm those who the leaker, a federal employee, disagreed with politically.

If the federal employee who leaked the information is every identified (and don’t hold your breath waiting for anyone in our Dear Leader‘s administration to pursue that), that person should be subject to criminal prosecution and civil prosecution from individuals harmed by their illegal actions.  The former CEO of Mozilla for example.

A coordinated political attack

Tuesday, February 18th, 2014

Recently, our Dear Leader claimed that there was “Not even a smidgeon of corruption” at the IRS run by his political appointees.

Well, as we have learned, everything that BHO says has an expiration date.  Sometimes that date is even before the words come out of his mouth.  Remember that the left leaning Washington Post, among others, selected one of Barry’s Catch Phrases as the Lie of the Year.

So we should take his claim of no corruption with several large barges worth of salt.

Let’s review a few key facts were.  The IRS conducted actual, probing audits of multiple 501(c)(4) organizations that made their list of organizations with certain key words.  Some of those key words were left leaning, but of the groups actually targeted by an IRS audit, 100% were right of center “Conservative” groups.

Now let’s review what the Inspector General for the IRS had to say on the matter,  “Our audit did not find evidence that the IRS used the ‘progressives’ identifier as selection criteria for potential political cases between May 2010 and May 2012.”  There are a few more gems in his report to Congress:

In total, 30 percent of the organizations we identified with the words ‘progress’ or ‘progressive’ in their names were processed as potential political cases. In comparison, our audit found that 100 percent of the tax-exempt applications with ‘Tea Party,’ ‘Patriots,’ or ‘9/12’ in their names were processed as potential political cases during the timeframe of our audit.”

“While we have multiple sources of information corroborating the use of Tea Party and other related criteria we described in our report, including employee interviews, emails and other documents, we found no indication in any of these other materials that ‘progressives’ was a term used to refer cases for scrutiny for political campaign intervention.”

Of the 296 organizations flagged with “political” keywords, only six were “progressive” groups.   That is 2% of the 296 organizations selected by the IRS.

Let’s not forget Lois Lerner, the senior IRS official who pleaded the Fifth rather than answer questions from Congress.

Clearly, there is more than just “smidgeon of corruption” at the IRS under the reign of our Dear Leader.  This Culture of Corruption probably runs much farther and deeper in the Obama administration than just the IRS.

Update:  The IRS targeted Republican Christine O’Donnell and then leaked her tax records to the press.

IRS Scandal Has Obama Fingerprints All Over It, Experts Say.

UpdateChristine O’Donnell’s IRS case reveals more than just a ‘smidgen of corruption’

Why is the media suppressing facts about the latest school shooting?

Monday, December 30th, 2013

Here is what you probably know, kid brings a shotgun to school (a “gun free zone”) and shoots another student before killing himself.  The student he shot later died from her wounds inflicted by the kid who ignored the numerous victim disarmament laws in place.

Here is something you probably haven’t heard, because it doesn’t fit the media narrative.  One of the law flaunting murder’s fellow students described him as “a very opinionated Socialist.”  He also was, like our Dear Leader, a Keynesian.

He was also a strong proponent of so-called “gun control” laws.  Yet, he decided to advance his political views through the barrel of a gun.  Guess that makes him a good progressive.

Which is the message the “traditional” main stream media doesn’t want getting out.

Now imagine how they would have handled this story if this murderer had political leans anywhere to the right of center.

A damn good question

Saturday, December 14th, 2013

“There is a sense of unraveling that transcends the normal ideological disagreements that have roiled this nation to varying degrees throughout our history. Both sides of the ideological divide have endured presidents with whom they disagree, sometimes vehemently. Yet I’m getting the sense that millions of Americans of every stripe are now aware that we are in uncharted waters. We are being led by a man who is at once so very full of himself, even as virtually everything that goes wrong is either something he is unaware of, or someone else’s fault. It is remarkable that in the entire five years after this president promised to fundamentally transform the United States of America, not a single reporter has asked the ultimate question: Transform it into what, Mr. President? We have three more years to learn the answer. For millions of Americans, it doesn’t get any creepier than that.”
