“The thing the most bone chilling thing Bill Ayers said to me was that after the revolution succeeded and the government was overthrown, they believed they would have to eliminate 25 million Americans who would not conform to the new order.”

— Larry Grathwohl, an undercover FBI agent who infiltrated The Weather Underground

Liberal Minds: A Walking Contradiction

A liberal….

worships President Franklin D Roosevelt, who carpet bombed German cities and executed an American-born spy captured on US soil after a secret military trial—but screams that Bush was guilty of war crimes;

is crazy about Michael Moore—but against childhood obesity;

tapes over a sign that said “Too Many Jews At Harvard” with a sign that said “Ethnic Quotas This Way”;

is enraged with Karl Rove for releasing the name of a CIA paper-pusher (which he didn’t do)—-but are excited with WikiLeaks putting thousands of classified national security documents on the Internet;

categorically opposes the death penalty for convicted murderers—but screams it’s a ‘constitutional right’ to kill innocent, unborn babies;

hysterically opposed taking out Saddam Hussein, a mass murderer who gassed his own people and presided over ‘rape rooms’—but weepily demands we intervene in Rwanda and Lybia for humantarian reasons;

claims to be pro-children—but supports public schools and refuses to support charter schools;

champions women and gay rights—but ignores the brutal treatment of women and gays by Muslims;

claims it was a vicious slander to be called a communist in the fifties—-but didn’t see anything wrong with actually being a communist in the fifties;

advocates unfettered scientific research and debate—but  then, with no evidence, simply declares discussions about global warming closed;

yelps for clean alternative energy—bit violently opposes nuclear power;

supports sustainable energy sources like offshore wind farms—-unless the offshore wind farm obscures their view from Cape Cod;

decries stereotyping—but when a black conservative comes along, denounces that person as ‘unqualified’, ‘stupid’, a ‘house nigga’, an ‘Uncle Tom’ or ‘window dressing’;

believes Tea Partiers are terrorists—but Islamic Jihadists are victims.

Yet another example of how Liberals are really, really bad at history

The current case in point, the so-called “Top Cop” in democrat political machine controlled Chicago claims that current federal “gun control laws” are “racist.”

What makes this interesting is that his statement is actually correct, but his attempt at reasoning is completely and utterly wrong base on actual historical facts.

Yes, so-called “gun control” laws, especially the federal ones, are race based policies designed to deny black (and other minority) citizens their Second Amendment Rights, and the majority of them were passed by democrats.

For the whole story, read The Racist Roots of Gun Control, which was originally published in the Kansas Journal of Law and Public Policy back in 1995.

Here is the executive summary:

The first so-called “gun control” laws passed in the United States were in Southern states right after the end of the Civil War.  They were implemented to protect members of the KKK from being shot by citizens the Klan members still considered uppity property when the Klan showed up in the middle of night to string a few American Citizens up by the neck as a warning to other black Americans to ‘keep their place.”

Even before the Civil War, the Tennessee state constitution had the following line in it: ” “That the free white men of this State have a right to keep and to bear arms for their common defense.”  Note that free ‘persons of color’ were denied the basic Human Right of effective self-defense.  They were to be at the mercy of ‘their betters.’   Yes, even then, those who today would be self-labeled “progressives” were closet aristocrats.

Clearly reality isn’t the left’s strong point

The left keeps repeating their talking point, that Gov Sarah Palin, who currently is running rings around the mainstream media, is “stupid” and an “idiot.” In the meantime, the left’s anointed leader, Barack Hussein Obama, who they keep referring to asthe smartest President evah!“, can’t string a basic sentence together without a string of ummms when he isn’t reading directly off a teleprompter.  Even with his precious teleprompter, he twice referred to Navy Corpsmen as “corpsemen” in a prepared speech honoring Navy Corpsmen!

This is the “genius” who thinks there are 57 states, that Asthmatic kids should get a breathalyzer, and said the Constitution was written “20 centuries ago”.

Clearly, the collected shared reality of rational adults is not the space inhabited by leftists to whom the message is more important than reality.

What did Maddow know and when did she know it.

Hardly surprising was that MSNBC “commentator” and far left extremist, Rachal Maddow was stanch and aggressive supporter of Rep. Weiner as he lied to the press, his constituents, his staff, his wife and the rest of the world every time he opened his mouth.

Maddow put forth every moonbat conspiracy theory on exactly Weiner was hacked by an evil “vast right wing conspiracy”  posted on the DailyKos, every single one of them were empirically proven wrong BTW, as the “Gospel Truth”tm.

Not that Maddow let the actual truth slow her down.  She is now trying to down play the whole thing with her sex scandal chart

The real question, however, is “What did Maddow know and when did she know it?

One of Weiner Cyber-Mistresses had contacted the Maddow show back on June 3, 2011. The Maddow show wanted nothing to do with this information.  Perhaps if the Cyber-Mistress had said the dirt was on a Republican, the Maddow team would have been all over it.  Or was it the last thing they wanted to, ahem, touch was news about a political sex scandal right when the democrat party‘s attack congressman’s online habits were just hitting the news?

Another example of the “tolerant” left

Sydney Morning Herald columnist Richard Glover is calling for anyone who disagrees with his Luddite views on “man made” global warming to be forcibly tattooed against their will.

“Surely it’s time for climate-change deniers to have their opinions forcibly tattooed on their bodies.

Not necessarily on the forehead; I’m a reasonable man. Just something along their arm or across their chest…”

Yup, another example of how there is nothing quite so intolerant and closed-minded than a “tolerant and open minded liberal.”

Probably closer to the truth here is the maxim, “Scratch a liberal and you’ll find a fascist.”

democrat spokesperson Wasserman-Schultz throws the truth to the wolves

Ya, ya…a DNC rep not including the actual truth in a public statement is a ‘dog bites man’ story, but democrat Rep. Wasserman-Schultz takes her job above and beyond the realm of normal DNC spin.

In her statement to CBS’ Harry Smith, which he didn’t call her on, “We’re going to throw you to the wolves, and allow insurance companies to deny you coverage and drop you for pre-existing conditions,” Wasserman-Schultz manages to wrap a lie up with fear mongering.

A lie, you say? Yup, Wasserman-Schultz is a lying liar according to both Factcheck.org and the Washington Post.  The Washington Post article went as far as to give Wasserman-Schultz “three Pinocchios” and labeled her statement “bogus.”

Leftists against Free Speech

Yup, there is nothing as intolerant and closed minded as a “tolerant and open minded liberal.”

In the left’s mindset, the First Amendment only applies when you spout what they want you to say.

Watch the people signing the petition in this video for a good example of intolerant, ignorant people spouting hate.

Happy Lenin’s birthday (a.k.a “Earth Day”)

Yup, it’s time for the annual Lenin’s Birthday post.

Yup, “Earth Day” is on Lenin’s Birthday.  Not a coincidence, given that the “founder” of Earth Day was much more a “Watermelon” than an actual environmentalist.

Watermelon: Thin layer of green of the outside, red to the core.

The celebrations start with a round up of predictions from the very first “Earth Day” back in 1970.

“Civilization will end within 15 or 30 years unless immediate action is taken against problems facing mankind.” — George Wald, Harvard Biologist

“Population will inevitably and completely outstrip whatever small increases in food supplies we make. The death rate will increase until at least 100-200 million people per year will be starving to death during the next ten years.” — Paul Ehrlich, Stanford University biologist

“By…[1975] some experts feel that food shortages will have escalated the present level of world hunger and starvation into famines of unbelievable proportions. Other experts, more optimistic, think the ultimate food-population collision will not occur until the decade of the 1980s.” — Paul Ehrlich, Stanford University biologist

“It is already too late to avoid mass starvation,” — Denis Hayes, chief organizer for Earth Day

“Demographers agree almost unanimously on the following grim timetable: by 1975 widespread famines will begin in India; these will spread by 1990 to include all of India, Pakistan, China and the Near East, Africa. By the year 2000, or conceivably sooner, South and Central America will exist under famine conditions….By the year 2000, thirty years from now, the entire world, with the exception of Western Europe, North America, and Australia, will be in famine.” — Peter Gunter, professor, North Texas State University

“Scientists have solid experimental and theoretical evidence to support…the following predictions: In a decade, urban dwellers will have to wear gas masks to survive air pollution…by 1985 air pollution will have reduced the amount of sunlight reaching earth by one half….” — Life Magazine, January 1970

“At the present rate of nitrogen buildup, it’s only a matter of time before light will be filtered out of the atmosphere and none of our land will be usable.” — Kenneth Watt, Ecologist

“Air pollution…is certainly going to take hundreds of thousands of lives in the next few years alone.” — Paul Ehrlich, Stanford University biologist

Ok, Ehrlich was sorta right on this, if you restrict his predictions to modern Communist China, where they are showing the typical communist/socialist contempt for the environment.

“By the year 2000, if present trends continue, we will be using up crude oil at such a rate…that there won’t be any more crude oil. You’ll drive up to the pump and say, `Fill ‘er up, buddy,’ and he’ll say, `I am very sorry, there isn’t any.’” — Kenneth Watt, Ecologist

Now we get to my personal favorite, although probably not Al Gore‘s…
“The world has been chilling sharply for about twenty years,” he declared. “If present trends continue, the world will be about four degrees colder for the global mean temperature in 1990, but eleven degrees colder in the year 2000. This is about twice what it would take to put us into an ice age.” — Kenneth Watt, Ecologist

It wouldn’t be Lenin’s Birthday with out this clip of the late George Carlin discussing “Saving the Planet.”

Quote of the Day: Lenin’s Birthday Edition

Environmental policy is not driven by tree-hugging activists, earnest liberal bloggers, or ecologically minded citizens. Instead, it flows from the lobbyists and executives of well-connected multinational corporations and built-for-subsidy startups that see profit in the loan guarantees, handouts, mandates, and tax credits Congress creates in the name of saving the planet.
