Two opposing views
Compare and contrast. First Mort Zuckerman points out that our Dear Leader is is “anti-business.”
Of course, the talking heads at MSNBC, Mika Brzezinski and John Heilmann, were shocked by this. They certainly haven’t gotten that message from the instructions they get sent directly to their Crackberrys by the Obama White House.
Let us review the facts of the situation, after a year and half of our Dear Leader and the democrats controlling both both houses of Congress.
- The Stock Market can’t get a decent rally going and the Dow is still mired at the 10K mark.
- Unemployment remains at unprecedented levels. Real unemployment is well over 10%, probably closer to 15%. Is it in spite of the democrat’s massive so-called “stimulus” plans or because of them?
- The housing market is still in shambles, and no reform of Freddie Mac or Fannie Mae in sight.
The facts of the matter are clearly obvious, as well as the sad truth that the MSNBC talking heads have to toe the Obama regime party line in order to keep their jobs.

Competence was never Barry’s strong point
Some people are starting to notice that our Dear Leader isn’t really living up to their expectations of a mildly competent President.
Let’s get serious people! It has been plain from the beginning that his actual “leadership” experience was limited to a brief stint as a Cub Scout.
The American voters who bothered to go to the polls back in November 2008 elected a man who has never held a private sector job in his life!
He was very good at making promises during the campaign, but not so good at actually keeping them once elected. Foreign leaders are also not taking Barry very seriously either. Competence was not what our Dear Leader ran on. It was pure charisma and hatred against his opponents, including fellow democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton. What we have gotten has been back room, corrupt Chicago style politics, not leadership, and if you have been paying attention, that shouldn’t have come as a surprise.

As in Part 1, we are not talking about the Arizona law that has wide support among Arizonian citizens.
The evil, anti-civil rights group that is demanding that these kids prove their citizenship, the Obama White House. That’s right, Barack Hussein Obama, current President of these here United States and head of the democrat party.
Our Dear Leader wants a photo op at an American high school, and plans on personally shaking the hand of every graduating senior. Before these high school kids from a “fly over state” are going to be allowed near BHO, who BTW called the recent Arizona law “misguided” and ordered the Justice Department to investigate to see whether the law violates civil rights of illegal aliens, they will have to produce for the authorities:
- Their full name
- Date of Birth
- Social Security Number
- Proof of Citizenship
The smell of the leftist hypocrisy is pretty thick on this Charlie Fox.

A national ID card with embedded biometric information that all Americans will be required to carry and show.
Yup, this is going to truly annoy Libertarians and classic Liberals (the folks who’s party got hijacked by socialists).
When Obama said he wanted to be a “uniter”, I don’t think this is what most of the “useful idiots” who voted for him had in mind.

Maher used to be a stand up comic, i.e. someone who made their living by observing humanity and asking the questions other people missed. That is exactly what he is doing here. He is pointing out the obscene level of hypocrisy being shown by the MSM.

This oil spill is Obama’s Katrina, and if the MSM was mildly honest, that is how they would be reporting this story.
Is Hillary really on BHO’s short list?
Selecting Hillary Rodham Clinton for the upcoming vacancy in the Supreme Court has been floated by a few sources.
Jammie Wearing Fool is correct in stating it would be a safe pick. She is in her second term in the Senate and will get support from enough other Senators in both parties (including the Socialist who, no surprise here, caucuses with the democrats) because they will support a member of their oh so exclusive club. Selecting HRC allows our Dear Leader to claim victory in putting a far left liberal woman on the court with expending any of the little political capital he has left.
Ed Morrissey also correctly notes: “… best of all, Obama would be dispatching the one Democrat who could conceivably win a primary race against him in 2012 if his numbers continue to fall. Once on the Supreme Court, Hillary would not step down to run for President, and Bill Clinton would be effectively neutralized as well.”
I stand by my advice from last October for Senator Clinton, run for Governor of New York State!
Either way, the President can appoint anybody he wants and can expect the same support from the Senate that previous Presidents have gotten from that body. The President should keep in mind that both he and Vice-President Biden voted against Supreme Court nominees appointed by President George W. Bush on purely political reasons.
Obama White House is starting to push for a VAT tax
For those of you who don’t know what a VAT tax is, it’s a tax on everything paid by everyone.
Given the massive debts our Dear Leader and the democrat congress have run up since taking control of the government, and their plans to keep spending, they need a way to fleece even more money from the American people. The VAT tax they are talking up is certainly one way to do it, as long as you don’t care about the negative effects on the economy. Since actually working to improve the economy clearly isn’t anywhere on the agenda for the Obama administration or Congressional democrats, keep your eye out for a federal VAT tax.
Obama puts a stop to the popular off shore drilling option

The Obama administration’s six-month delay in approving new offshore drilling leases in federal waters will become a new three-year ban, Interior Secretary Ken Salazar quietly told reporters last Friday. Which means that no new oil and gas leases will be approved during President Obama’s term even though two –thirds of the American public supports such activity, according to a December 2009 Rasmussen poll.

“Secretary Salazar has finally confirmed what had long been feared – that the Obama Administration has no intention of opening up new areas for offshore drilling during his four-years in office,” said Rep. Doc Hastings, the ranking Republican on the House Natural Resources Committee.So for the next three years and probably more, trillions of dollars in domestic energy assets will remain untouched while billions of dollars more are spent on foreign oil.
Clearly, as in the Health Care “debate”, our Dear Leader has absolutely no interest in what the American People, whom he was elected to represent, care about in a vitally important subject. The President’s ban on domestic energy sources also tells us that he has no interest in halting rising energy costs or taking any steps toward improving the economy. Opening up these resources will immediately create many “shovel ready” good paying jobs, providing a short term benefit to the economy as well as long term benefits. Why is our Dear Leader opposed to actually improving the US economy?

We still have the ongoing saga of tax cheat and democrat congressman from New York, Charles Rangel.
Now we have our Dear Leader handing out federal judgeships in an attempt to buy votes in his own party for his massively unpopular Obamacare Charlie Fox. As Ms. Malkin says, it looks like a quid pro quo, smells like a quid pro quo, and quacks like a quid pro quo.
This is either a clear case of flat out corruption or the Obama administration is so dangerously incompetent that they didn’t see the connection between this key vote and an federal judgeship appointment. Either way, it’s not good for America.
