Unemployment numbers snark

Andy has some prime snark going on over at AoSHQ. Here is money quote:
I’ll limit this quickie post to that nasty 3-letter word: J-O-B-S. Today’s unemployment report showed that we, Unexpectedly™, added only 54,000 jobs in May and the unemployment rate shot back up to 9.1%. Backing out the 62,000 jobs added by McDonald’s leaves … a one-term president.
Additionally, coblogger emeritus Geoff pointed out that we’ve shed 430,000 full-time jobs in the last couple of months and are now back where we began the year. It’s as if the entire population of Reno cried out in terror and was suddenly silenced given a pink slip.

democrat spokesperson Wasserman-Schultz throws the truth to the wolves
Ya, ya…a DNC rep not including the actual truth in a public statement is a ‘dog bites man’ story, but democrat Rep. Wasserman-Schultz takes her job above and beyond the realm of normal DNC spin.
In her statement to CBS’ Harry Smith, which he didn’t call her on, “We’re going to throw you to the wolves, and allow insurance companies to deny you coverage and drop you for pre-existing conditions,” Wasserman-Schultz manages to wrap a lie up with fear mongering.
A lie, you say? Yup, Wasserman-Schultz is a lying liar according to both Factcheck.org and the Washington Post. The Washington Post article went as far as to give Wasserman-Schultz “three Pinocchios” and labeled her statement “bogus.”
Quote of the Day
“Liberalism is a religion. It affords a feeling of spiritual rectitude at little or no cost. Central to this religion is the assertion that evil does not exist, all conflict being attributed to a lack of understanding between the opposed. Well and good, but this does not accord with the experience of anyone.”

Here is a video that summarizes the book nicely.

The Left’s ‘New Civility’
It’s clearly the same as their ‘Old Civility.’
Latest example, far left wing extremist and MSNBC “host” Ed Schultz made vile personal attacks against conservative commentator Laura Ingraham on the air.
The management at MSNBC did pull him off the air for it, but let’s see if this is a real firing or an “Olbermann firing.”
Waiting for NOW to condemn his sexist hate speech…ok, that was laugh line.
Obame Regime claims the War Powers Act doesn’t apply to them.

Jake Tapper of ABC news reports on the latest whopper from the Imperial Obama Regime.
Our Dear Leader claims that his unprovoked war on Libya, which presented no immediate threat to the United States of America, does not require Congressional approval. Why, because it’s just a ‘little war.’ Things like the Constitution and the War Powers Act clearly don’t apply to the whims of Dear Leader under the rule of the Obama Regime.
Leftists against Free Speech
Yup, there is nothing as intolerant and closed minded as a “tolerant and open minded liberal.”
In the left’s mindset, the First Amendment only applies when you spout what they want you to say.
Watch the people signing the petition in this video for a good example of intolerant, ignorant people spouting hate.
Obama regime makes another move against States Rights
Regardless of your opinion of the ethics of the death penalty, it has alway been seen as a power legally exercised by the individual states. Some states have it, other don’t, but it is up to each state to decide.
Not so under the Obama regime. Our Dear Leader‘s “Justice” department has instructed the DEA to seize state government’s supply of sodium thiopental. That is part of a three drug cocktail typically used in lethal injection executions. By having the DEA seize this drug using rather sketch “concerns” about the way the drug was imported, which interestingly enough, the DEA/Justice department will no longer discuss.
If our Dear Leader doesn’t like the fact that some states still carry out the death penalty, he should have the guts to come out and say it, rather than hiding behind DEA raids where the agency refuses to discuss the reasons behind the agency seizing the property of state governments.

“…that when it comes to some Democrats and particularly the President, “high gas prices are not an unintended consequence of their policies: it is the means by which they will accomplish their goal.” Their goal is to raise the price of gasoline so that you reduce your consumption of it.”
Bonus quote from the same article:
“…high gas prices are an economy killer, so even if there is some modest increase in tax income from that tax hike in general, the drag on the economy will mean reduced taxes in other areas. Again, they are depending on you being too stupid to see through all of this.”
