First off is a case of far left extremist (in this case a “social justice warrior”) putting up “Whites Only” stickers around Austin, TX. He did to show how conservatives are “racists” and stuff. All too often, cases of “hate crimes” like this are perpetrated by “progressives” in order to make reality match their extremist agenda. HT to Leslie Bates for this one.
Next, the “most transparent administration ever” has announced that the IRS isn’t going to release any documents concerning their well documented targeting of conservative political groups. In Obamamerica, the Freedom of Speech protections of the First Amendment only applies to speech our Dear Leader approves of.
The National Review points out that the Obama administration and Congressional democrats “are practically praying for a Christian terrorist.” They keep turning up to be Muslims though…
Culture of Corruption
As I’ve pointed out before, if you want to know what the left is up to, just observe what they accuse those they perceive as foes of.
Case in the point, the “Culture of Corruption” charge they leveled against the Republicans.
Let’s review how that actually works
The indictment was returned in Manhattan federal court, where he appeared briefly last month when he was freed on bail just a day after sharing the stage with Gov. Andrew Cuomo during his State of the State address.
Then there is the DNC spokesliar, Debbie Wasserman Schultz. Politico reports that her “office offered to change her position on medical marijuana if a major Florida donor recanted his withering criticism of her…”
A leftist gets mugged by reality
Filed under: Barking Moonbats, Our Dear Leader, Politics, Progressives
I’ve often said that reality is not a strong point of the left. Their narrative is much more important to them than actual facts.
This refusal to accept reality can produce painful results. Today’s example (by way of Moe Lane & the Instapundit)
It was pointed out, repeatedly, by people who actually read the so-called “Affordable Care Act”, that it was a disaster waiting to happen. People were going to lose coverage, prices would go up, and access to actual affordable health care would decline.
Rather than face these facts that inconveniently disagreed with their socialist narrative, the collective left called those who actually read the bill, “racists,” which was certainly easier than reading the bill for themselves.
Now, not only does this leftist idiot not have health care coverage, she is going to get fined by the government she helped to elect, for not having it. In addition, she inflicted this disaster of a law on millions of Americans who didn’t want it.
Quote of the Day
Dr. Charles Krauthammer makes the following astute observation:
“To understand the workings of American politics, you have to understand this fundamental law: Conservatives think liberals are stupid. Liberals think conservatives are evil.”
Example: Republican line: “Your Obama for President bumper sticker might as well say ‘I’m with Stupid.'”
Democrat article: Republicans are committing treason.
Of course the democrat op-ed is based on multiple false assumptions. Spotting them is left as an exercise to the reader.
Here is a hint. His grasp of economics is weak.
The left’s War on Women
Filed under: Culture of Corruption, Media Bias, Politics, When democrats attack
As I have pointed out before, if you want to know what the left is up to, just check what they are accusing others of.
Case in point, the so-called “War on Women.”
A so-called “reporter” at CNN by the name of Carol Costello, got on her high hobby horse in defense of “violence against women” when a football player got caught on camera, but she found the story of Bristol Palin being assaulted a source of humor. The hypocrisy of the left knows no bounds.
This double standard of the left, where they condone, and even support, violence against any woman who does not support their extremist agenda, is not new.
Conservative columnist Mary Katharine Ham wrote the following ten years ago in about her “liberal” friends response to threats of violence against her.
Why did I deserve it? Because I’m conservative, and to my liberal acquaintances, “conservative” is interchangeable with any number of fun words, like racist, homophobe, warmonger, and bigot. Even my best liberal friends have refuse to let go of these one-dimensional definitions despite the fact that a three-dimensional specimen has been disproving all of them throughout our friendship. So much for nuance.
In short, I deserved it because I’m a conservative (wink, wink, nudge, nudge.) And when you’re dealing with people as dastardly as conservatives, anything goes.
This same rationale allowed liberal acquaintances to giggle when Ann Coulter was attacked by two young men with pies and shrug as former Florida Secretary of State Katherine Harris was almost run over. NOW and NARAL would be holding weekly violence-against-women awareness marches if the same had happened to Maureen Dowd and Hillary Clinton.
…
There was the New York Times’ dreams of an assassination attempt on President Bush and Ted Rall’s double whammy hit on the mentally handicapped and Bush voters. But then came Condi Rice’s appointment to Secretary of State. What a goldmine that was!
Suddenly, racism was an acceptable political tool. Jokes about Mammies and big-lipped caricatures were en vogue. Most of us got the memo that our culture deems these kind of attacks to be about as reprehensible as they get. Liberal cartoonists and commentators got that memo too. But there was no retraction from them, and not a peep from the NAACP or NOW.
Why no outrage? Because Condi deserved it. She’s a conservative, you know.
Calling Condi “Brown Sugar” becomes a reasonable criticism because she is a member of the Bush administration. A physical attack on Coulter is a laughing matter because she is a hawk. Tailing a female acquaintance on a dark night becomes a funny joke because she’s conservative.
It seems to me that this is not the path to a civil political climate or national healing, both of which my liberal friends want. To me, my liberal friends and acquaintances are folks who are a little too soft on national defense and a little too heavy on the government programs for my taste. They do not deserve physical or racist attacks for that, and I do not laugh when they happen. I wish they felt the same way about me.
Quote of the Day
“Modern journalism is all about deciding which facts the public shouldn’t know because they might reflect badly on Democrats.”

Former adult film actress Jenna Jameson nails the difference between the first tweets made on September 11 by Gov. Mitt Romney and our Dear Leader, Barack Hussein Obama. They clearly show that one is a true leader with concern for America and has a real connection to the American people. The other is a sleazy political hack from Chicago.
The democrats’ War on Women is still in full frontal assault mode. As I have pointed out before, if you want to know what the left is up to, just review what they are accusing their opponents of.
In a Civil Rights victory, voter-ID is the law of the land in Wisconsin for the November elections.
Quote of the Day
“…the sheer “I won” in-your-face immaturity of the Obamaites — remember the “Hey, Hey, Goodbye” chant to Bush at the inauguration — ensured that people would be angrier than normal. And they did that on purpose because a sharply divided nation suited them politically. Now Ron Fournier wonders if Americans would rally behind Obama after another 9/11 the way we rallied behind Bush, and I think the answer is no — because Obama has spent his entire time in office flicking boogers at half the country.
As I’ve said before, the reason why presidents traditionally act “presidential” isn’t because they’re stiffly formal, it’s because acting presidential, rather than purely political, lets you appeal to the whole country in ways that a pure partisan can’t. Obama doesn’t care, and we may very well pay for that, too. But elections have consequences, and when you elect a guy like Obama, the consequences are bad ones.”

Reality can crack the leftist spin central of HuffPo every once in rare while. Former MA congresscritter and far left extremist (yes, I’m being redundant) Barney Frank is shocked to discover that our Dear Leader lied to the American People.
On the international front, Japan gives Vietnam six navy ships amid regional tension. To put it more bluntly, the Japanese government is giving something other than a twitter hash tag to Communist China. By doing so, Japan demonstrates that it has more balls than Barack Hussein Obama, who is mostly phoning it in these days.
Six Things

George Will nails the illegal political targeting by the IRS.
We can no more expect Mr. Holder to investigate this White House than we could have expected John Mitchell to investigate the Nixon White House.
Here’s — we know six things, Chris. We know first the targeting occurred.
Therefore, second, we know that this is worse than article two of the Nixon impeachment count, which said Nixon endeavored to use the IRS. The IRS back then resisted.
Third, we know that this became public in an act of deceit when Lois Lerner planted a question with a friend in an audience to try and get this out on her own terms.
Fourth, we know that she has taken the Fifth Amendment because she has a right to do this when she has a reasonable suspicion that there might be criminal activity involved.
Fifth, we know that from the timeline you put up today, that there has been 13 months of stonewalling on this.
And sixth, now we know that not only her hard drive, but six other people intimately involved in this suddenly crashed in an amazing miraculous coincidence. Religions have been founded on less, ten days after the investigation started.
That’s why we need a special prosecutor.
Of course, to the Obama cultists, this is a so called “phony scandal.” They have their collective panties in a knot over really serious political scandals, like traffic jams in New Jersey. I wonder how many of these all wee-weed up far left extremists have ever been on the Jersey Turnpike in rush hour?
