Quote of the Day
“Remember, Robin Hood didn’t rob from the rich and give to the poor. He robbed from the government and gave back to the tax victims.”

Obama Even Worse Than We Thought
Back in April, Judicial Watch released documents showing IRS officials, including former head of tax exempt groups Lois Lerner, discussing the possibility of bringing criminal charges against tea party groups for engaging in “political activity.” In fact, the documents showed Lerner wanted to make an example out of someone with charges in order to chill all of the groups in the tea party movement.

Monday Book Pick: The Daybreakers
The Daybreakers by Louis L’Amour
Louis L’Amour was one of best known masters of the American western. The Daybreakers shows him at the top of his game. Part of his Sackett series, this tells the tale of how Orrin and Tyrel came out of the mountains and made their way west. One of my favorites from the series.
Quote of the Day
“Almost everyday someone on MSNBC wets himself over the fact a free citizen somewhere is carrying a gun. Their proposed solution: the State should better enforce its monopoly on violence.”
— Jonah Goldberg
There is crazy and then there is just being a jerk
Rachael Maddow is insane, but CNN’s Candy Crowley is just an asshole.
Obama’s favorite water carrier struck again on CNN’s State of the Nation when she actually had the gall to try to compare Bergdahl’s desertion with the capture and torture of John McCain at the hands of Vietnamese communists.
A lesson in cause and effect

This educational tale comes from Austin, Texas. A city known as a liberal stronghold in an otherwise sensible state.
The article quotes one Gretchen Gardner, an Austin artist, who has “…voted for every park, every library, all the school improvements, for light rail, for anything that will make this city better. But now I can’t afford to live here anymore. “
Why can Ms. Gardner no longer afford to live in Austin? Her property taxes have gone up in order to play every thing she voted for!
Here is a financial hint for Ms. Gardner, buses are always a better economic choice over light rail. Unless you are in the public service unions that will maintain and run the more expensive to build/maintain/operate light rail systems.
She wants a bigger government to be her nanny state, but like most leftists, wants someone else to pay for it.
Friday B-Movie Pick: Films of Fury
A fun trip down memory lane for martial arts film fans. The animated narrator is a video store clerk with an extensive knowledge of martial arts films. Sounds familiar? He sorta looks like Quentin too. He touches on many of the classics, including several previous B-Movie picks Heroes of the East, My Young Auntie and Lone Wolf McQuade. Some gun-fu classics are mentioned, mostly by director John Woo, which is an often neglicted sub-genere. He does go into some of the modern American films by Chuck Norris and Steven Seagal, but leaves out any reference to Van Damme. Fire up the popcorn and check it out! See what films you think are missing, and make a list of the ones you now have to see.
Top Three Obamacare lies told by Obama
“If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor. Period.”
“If you like your health care plan, you’ll be able to keep your health care plan. Period. No one will take it away, no matter what.”
“We will lower your premiums by $2,500 per family, per year.”
All three of those statements have been proven to be lies.
All three of those statements, at the time they were made, were identified as not being what the actual Obamacare law would allow, by people who actually read the bill.
Those people were called “racists” by people who didn’t read the bill.
I’m not expecting any apologies to the people wrongly attacked for having actually read the so called “Affordable Care Act.”
I am expecting the people who attacked them with slanderous lies to apologize for the man who lied to them and to continue their baseless, partisan attacks on any one who dares to speak the truth.
Monday Book Pick: A New American Space Plan
A New American Space Plan by Travis Taylor, Ringleader of the Rocket City Rednecks
NASA rocket scientist and self identified redneck, Travis Taylor, has a plan for getting America back into space.
Which is something America really needs right now, for many reason which Doctor Taylor lists in this book. Here is one that he wrote about, and has come to pass. The US currently has no method of getting Astronauts to the Space Station and back. Our current President put the budget for the Orion program on life support. I guess that is G.W. Bush’s fault, since the program started when he was President, so Barry felt he had to kill it. His solution was to outsource American jobs to Russia. In case you haven’t been paying attention, the US government pays Russia to get US Astronauts to the Space Station and back. Now the Russian are saying Nyet to that. It’s a good thing that the private sector is stepping up, but this is a problem we didn’t need to have.
Unlike this post, Travis Taylor’s book is mostly upbeat and positive. It should also be read in American high school science classes.
