Sunday SciFi: Firefly and Serenity
Joss Whedon’s SciFi/Western series and feature film. IMNSHO, one of the best SciFi series since Babylon 5.
A really top notch cast and great writing produced a series that the fans loved and the network execs just couldn’t grok.
The result a single season, with four episodes never being aired, followed by rather brisk DVD sales and a feature film.
If you haven’t seen Firefly, do yourself a favor, block out a weekend and watch the entire season.

Three Exculpatory Facts the MSM Continues to Overlook in the Arizona Shootings
John Sexton gets to the heart of the matter:
One – Sarah Palin’s map was nothing out of the ordinary
Two – Jared Loughner’s fixation on Rep. Giffords pre-dated the Tea Party and Sarah Palin
Three – Jared Loughner’s verifiable ideological commitments are on the left
Three basic facts the MSM refuses to publish.
Mark Levin calls MSNBC on their Hate Speech
The Radio Equalizer reports that conservative talk show host and author Mark Levin has offered $100,000 for evidence that Gov. Palan “promoted the murder of anyone”, as the leftist media, including several MSNBC hosts have declared.
Levin has also threatened to sue MSNBC hosts Chris Matthews and Ed Schultz for stating on air that Jared Lee Loughner was somehow influenced by Levin and [conservative talk show host] Savage when he went on a killing spree at an event hosted by congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords. Giffords, as you remember was a Pro-Life, fiscally conservative democrat, and that Loughner was described by his friends as a liberal with a severe case of BDS.
The left has clearly been trying to use this tragedy to push their agenda, despite having all the facts against them. Good on Mark Levin for calling them out on it.
Monday Book Pick: Paradise Regained: The Regreening of Earth
Paradise Regained: The Regreening of Earth by Les Johnson, Gregory L. Matloff and C. Bangs.
A bit of hard science for you geeks and Greenies (real greenies, not watermelons), describing on how to use resources of the solar system for terrestrial benefit. Yup, going to space is good for Mother Gaia. Move your hard industry and power production to Earth orbit and mine the resources of the Solar System.
The Left’s MO
Michelle Malkin nails the left’s MO: Blame Righty: A condensed history
When the Republicans have a bad leader, they admit it, and get rid of them. The left can admit no failure, and when their policies bring bad results, they point their finger and try to pin the blame on their political opponents. The concept of “manning up” is completely and utterly foreign to them.
