Was David Gregory drunk on the air again?
Alternate question, is he actually just that stupid? These question are raised because of his “performance” on last Sunday’s Meet the Press. Let’s review the transcript:
MR. CAIN: We replace capital gains tax. We replace the payroll tax. We replace corporate income tax, replace personal income tax, and replace the death tax. It is a replacement tax structure.
MR. GREGORY: But where do state taxes go? You’re saying they’re going to be repealed?
MR. CAIN: If you–with the current structure, you have state taxes, right? So with this new structure, you’re still going to have taxes–state taxes. That is muddying the water.
MR. GREGORY: How so?
MR. CAIN: Because today, under the current tax code, state taxes are there if they have it. If they don’t have a state taxes, they don’t have it. It has nothing to do with this replacement structure for the federal tax code.
MR. GREGORY: But that doesn’t make any sense to me. If I’m already paying state taxes, and I have a new Cain administration national sales tax, I’ve got more state taxes.
Mr. Gregory appears to be deeply confused on the difference between State taxes and a sales tax. He is either spiking his coffee and hosting a national political talk show drunk or is completely incompetent for the position he holds. The other explanation is that does know the difference, but is deliberately attempting to confuse the issue in order to make the current Republican front runner look bad. That last option points to a deep and widespread far left wing extremist media bias at NBC News/MSNBC.
So which is it? Drunk, incompetent or deliberately attempting to mislead the American people?

Meet the “1%”, uber-rich Obama bundlers.
The Obama re-election campaign quietly released the list of their elite deep-pocketed donors who bundled at least $20 million each.

How the Left supports our Troops

A member of the US Coast Guard went a bit too close to the far left extremist, strike that, I mean “open minded and tolerant” “Occupy” crowd in Boston yesterday.
They thanked the servicewoman for her service in the following fashion:
The Coast Guard in Boston confirmed that a woman in uniform was harassed and spat upon near Occupy Boston protesters.
The woman was walking to the train and said protesters spit on her twice, called her foul names and even threw a water bottle at her.
Can’t say I’m surprised.
Hold on a moment…was that a plastic water bottle thrown at the member of the US Coast Guard? Was wasn’t the thrower turned in for crimes against Gaea?
Oh well, just another data point to prove that there is nothing quite as intolerant and closed minded as an “open minded and tolerant liberal.”

Friday B-Movie Pick: Legend of the Fist: The Return of Chen Zhen
Legend of the Fist: The Return of Chen Zhen
Donny Yen, son of Boston Kung Fu Master Bow Sim Mark, and start of the Yip Man films, stars in this excellent martial arts flick. He plays Chen Zhen, Bruce Lee’s character from The Chinese Connection. After seeing the horrors of war in WWI France, Chen returns to Shenghai to continue his battle against the Japanese. The action is excellent, and the acting quite good. As Joe-Bob would say, check it out!

Obama’s EPA will shut down 28 GW of American Electrical Production
Can you say “rolling brown outs” boys and girls?
Our Dear Leader is once again keeping one of his campaign promises and shutting down electrical power plants that use abundant domestic fuel sources (i.e. coal).
Don’t worry though, as our Dear Leader also promised, there will be plenty of alternative energy brought on line by technological breakthroughs that will more than make up for the 28 GigaWatts being removed from the American electrical grid.
Oh, what’s that? President Obama isn’t keeping that promise? Well, at least he tried. OK, wasting a half billion of Tax Payer dollars on the predicted failure of Solyndra doesn’t really count as “trying”, but it did funnel that money in to the hands of big Obama donors!
Use that thought to keep you warm as your electricity cuts out on regular basis because your local power grid can’t sustain a base load.
A reminder to the OWS folks

You can’t spell “Goldman-Sachs” without the O.
Yup, look up who Wall Street poured money to in the 2008 elections. The bailouts you are protesting against were political payback by a corrupt product of the Chicago democrat political machine.
OWS Astroturf Roots

You remember those so-called “grass roots” activists making a political statement by hanging out at Wall Street, disrupting businesses and generally carrying on cranky.
Well, it seems that they have deep roots in our friend ACORN, that’s right, the organization that helps out pimps, has been convicted of of massive vote fraud in multiple states, and deep and long term connections to our Dear Leader, Barack Hussein Obama.
Let us go to the video for the proof.
