Jim McKenna has make history here in the Commonwealth by obtaining over 27,000 signatures in order to become the Republican candidate for state Attorney General.

Jim McKenna, along with other Republican candidates like Karyn Polito and Mary Z. Connaughton will bring a much needed transparency to the democrat run state  government here in the People’s Commonwealth and a much needed accountability to the citizens of Massachusetts.

Obama knew his policies would kill jobs in the Gulf

23,000 jobs killed by our Dear Leader in the hard hit Gulf Coast.

It’s been very clear that improving the economy has not a priority of Barry or the democrat controlled congress.

That raises the question of just what is our Dear Leader‘s top priority?

It’s not the economy, or transparency, or an ethical government.

His personal goal is pretty clear, improving his golf game.

Obama’s track record

Jeff Miller has made a list of some of our Dear Leader’s promises and how he has followed up on them.

1. He campaigned against an insurance mandate and then gave us one.

2. He promised he wouldn’t hire lobbyists, and then hired at least 40 of them.

3. He promised to release logs of meetings between his staff and lobbyists, and then his staff started meeting across the street with lobbyists so it wouldn’t be logged.

4. He promised not to raise any taxes on families that make under $250,000, and then raised several taxes that apply to them.

5. He promised to post all bills on the internet for five days before he would sign them, and he’s broken this promise with nearly every bill he’s signed.

6. He promised not to tax health care benefits, and then signed a law that taxes health care benefits.

7. He promised to get us out of Iraq; not happening.

8. He promised to close Guantanamo; not happening.

9. He lied about the cost of his health care plan.

10. He promised to televise the health care negotiations, and didn’t.

11. He promised to veto all legislation with earmarks; he hasn’t.

12. He has bragged about continuing the Bush treatment of detainees.

13. He promised transparency and then prosecuted leakers.  (Plus, remember this?)

14. He lied about the public option.  And about a ton of other stuff.

15. Remembering signing statements?  Obama assumes you don’t.

16. Don’t ask, don’t tell?  Still in place.

And then there’s the other stuff, the silly and the sad, like the commissionsembarrassing issues of foreign etiquettelambasting tax breaks he voted forbribing people with job offers, bemoaning the iPod that he himself uses, his habitual invocation of straw men, his destruction of jobswasted moneythe cash-for-clunkers/housing-credit idiocy, the foreclosure plan folly, the fake fiscal restraintunemployment and the stimulus bill, and the fact that Obama’s policies redistribute wealth from poor to rich.

President Obama is not just a mediocre president; he’s not just a bad president.  President Obama is a terrible president.  He is a terrible president by any standard, but certainly by his own.  We were promised great things, and instead, we got just another lousy politician.

democrat congressman explains their approach to Health Care legislation

“All this talk about rules. We make them up as we go along.”

Obama goes Carter

Our Dear Leader had a choice to make. As I pointed out before, he could have followed the path of former two term President Bill Clinton, or the path of former one term President Jimmy Carter.

Obama decided to go Carter, big time. In last night’s State of Barack speech (it was much, much more about Barack Hussein Obama than it was the United States of America), our Dear Leader, in the face of rapidly declining popularity, and faith in, both him and his far left agenda, decided to double down on his two most unpopular programs.  Those are his so-called “health care reform” package, better known as Obamacare and the job killing “Cap and Tax” bill.

Here is all you need to know about Obamacare, Howard Dean, a medical doctor, former chair of the DNC and general al laround far left extremist barking moonbat, wants it killed.  When the far left and the majority of the Right thinks something is a bad idea, it usually is. There is also the case to be made about having to bribe US Senators, with tax payer money, to vote for it.  Senator Nelson of Nebraska was actually looking out for his state.  He knew that Obamacare would bankrupt his state with unfunded federal mandates.

Barack Hussein Obama needed to act Presidential and show the nation that he is a leader.  Instead, he gave the longest SOTU speech in over 40 years, spending most of it blaming former President Bush and lecturing the American people on how we needed to support his socialist agenda.

He failed to address how he failed to deliver on multiple campaign promises, including transparency and openness in the federal government.  He also failed to deliver on his no lobbyists in government pledge, hiring over a dozen in his administration.  He failed to “change the tone” in Washington, D.C., except to make it worse.  The Reid/Obama/Pelosi run federal government is even more hyper-partisan than it ever was, and they plan on making it even worse in the future. BHO opened up a new front by attacking the Supreme Court during the SOTU speech.

Our Dear Leader rounded out his speech by repeating a bunch of promises he made on the campaign trail that he failed to keep.  Even if he does follow through on some of them, people are still going to be asking why he waited an entire year to do anything about the economy, instead wasting it on socialized medicine that the American people don’t want.

Not the change you were looking for

As I have pointed out before, our Dear Leader‘s “jobs created or saved” numbers are smoke and mirrors at best.

So how is the Obama White House going to deal with the case of fraud they tried to foist on the American people? Well, based on past behavior, openness and transparency wasn’t anywhere on their list.

Brett Blackledge, of the AP, explains how Team Lightbringer is going to hide their incompetence now.

The White House has abandoned its controversial method of counting jobs under President Barack Obama’s economic stimulus, making it impossible to track the number of jobs saved or created with the $787 billion in recovery money.

Despite mounting a vigorous defense of its earlier count of more than 640,000 jobs credited to the stimulus, even after numerous errors were identified, the Obama administration now is making it easier to give the stimulus credit for hiring. It’s no longer about counting a job as saved or created; now it’s a matter of counting jobs funded by the stimulus.

That means that any stimulus money used to cover payroll will be included in the jobs credited to the program, including pay raises for existing employees and pay for people who never were in jeopardy of losing their positions.

That’s right. The “open and transparent” Obama administration is now going to take credit for “saving or creating” jobs that already exist.

What is clear, is that Obama’s team of Socialists are trying desperately to hide obvious fact that the democrat “porkulus” bill was an utter and complete failure at the stated goal of “stimulating” the economy.  It has been a job killer, not a job creator, and the Team Lightbringer and their co-conspirators in the democrat congressional “leadership” are now trying to make it impossible to accurately track the effect of their pork laden payouts have on the job market, and the economy.

What is it that the democrats are afraid to show the American People?

House and Senate democrat “leaders” are planning on keeping deliberations secret as they work out the compromise “heath care” bill behind closed doors.

C-Span is calling for the congressional democrats to do what our Dear Leader called for, have the debate open and available for the American People to see.

Openness and transparency in the political process. That is what the democrats ran on, but are refusing to implement.

The reality is the the democrats really don’t want any honest and open debate. If that happens, the American people could see exactly what they are trying to shove down their throats without their knowledge.

A wise woman spoke the truth when she said, “They win in the dark; we win in the light.”

The last thing the democrats want is the ObamaCare bill to be brought out of the cover of darkness and into the cleansing light of the public.

Inspector General Walpin cleared of White House Smear

The Obama White House, making a lie out of its promise for increased transparency, fired Inspector General Walpin back in June for doing his job and daring to investigate on of our Dear Leader’s political appointees.

The reasons given at the time were absurd and easily disputed. The reality of the situation was clear.
Team Lightbringer fired a government employee for doing his job. The findings of Walpin were embarrassing not only to our Dear Leader, but to Empress Michelle as well, since the waste and corruption found was in one of her pet projects.

Well, now a US Attorney has cleared Walpin of any complaints that he acted “improperly.”

Inspector General Walpin wants his job back, and he has filed a suit in federal court stating that he was fired improperly for investigating a political appointee of the President. Of course, following its policy of removing any trace of transparency and openness in the federal government, the Obama White House is trying to have this case dismissed.

Update: Details at Michelle Malkin’s site on how the Obama “Justice” Department has been sweeping the corruption AG Walpin found under the rug.

What is Joey Biden hiding from the American People?

Vice-President Joe Biden is joining our Dear Leader in a widespread effort to hide what they are doing from the American public.

The LA Times reports:

We’ve especially noted Biden’s innumerable “private meetings” that are closed to the press because, well, they’re private.

And we’ve wondered aloud how this Democratic VP’s private meetings with unnamed people on unnamed subjects differs from the private meetings with unnamed people that his evil predecessor had that got so many Democratic senators and representatives worried about nefarious secrets.

Ya, the hypocrisy is pretty thick.

According to the White House schedule, Biden will not spend the remainder of the workday in private meetings that are closed press.

Instead: “The Vice President will spend the remainder of the day in meetings that are closed press.”

You get the difference, right?

What are those meetings about? What could the Obama administration hiding from the American people? What happened to the “transparency” our Dear Leader was supposed to bring to the federal government?

A pattern of abuse and denial at the Obama White House

Another update in our Dear Leader‘s blatantly political firing of an Investigator General for doing his job by finding corruption by BHO’s political appointees.

First Byron York writes in the Washington Examiner about how the Obama White House Special Counsel to the President for Ethics and Government Reform refuses to answer direct questions from a Senate investigation on matter of the firing of IG Walpin.

What is the Obama administration hiding? My bet is that is the actual truth of the matter is the last thing Team Lightbringer wants to see the light of day.

Next is a Chicago Tribune story, by way of Hot Air, that points out that the Obama White House has a pattern of firing IG’s that don’t toe their strictly political line, instead of doing their job and protecting the taxpayers.
This IG, Neil Barofsky, pointed out that there were “insufficient safeguards on Porkulus spending.”

What is clear is that Barack Hussein Obama and his administration will not stand for anyone questioning their actions, especially government employees who’s job is to undercover fraud and waste and government spending. This is the “transparency” of Team Lightbringer.
