Usually not a good mix for conversation, and certainly not a good mix where our Dear Leader is concerned.
His job killing policies are striking home at small businesses, which are usually the engine that drives job growth.
One small business has publicly stated it is in a hiring freeze until Obama is out of office. It’s not that they don’t want to hire, it is just that they can’t afford to between an economy where inflation is double the economic growth and oppressive government regulations drive the cost of doing business up.
Another important indicator is the falling support of blue collar democrats for the President. This was core demographic for him back in 2008. Without their support, his odds in 2012 are being coming even more anorexic.

Lots of money to follow.
Let’s start with a lot of money people wish they could follow.
$1.2 Billion missing from MF Global. You remember MF Global, run by Obama crony Jon Corzine, former democrat Senator and former Governor of New Jersey. The guy who spent New Jersey dry and then ran up a huge debt to keep government spending at economy wreaking levels. He left government service (i.e. he lost an election that his Republican opponent won in a landslide), and proceeded to continue his ways at MF Global. The result was summed up nicely by Ann Barnhardt.
A firm, led by a crony of the Obama regime, stole all of the non-margined cash held by customers of his firm. Let’s not sugar-coat this or make this crime seem “complex” and “abstract” by drowning ourselves in six-dollar words and uber-technical jargon. Jon Corzine STOLE the customer cash at MF Global.
While we discussing friends of our Dear Leader, here a double header of money that deserves to be followed.
Second, Obama’s Half-Billion-Dollar Crony Drug Deal. Yup, a big democrat donor gets a no-bid “sweetheart” government handout. More of the tax payers funding our Dear Leader‘s campaign payoffs.
Moving the so-called “Occupy” criminal trespass groups, it is very clear that Orwell got it right, and some pigs are more equal than others. No tents for the “leaders”, but $700 a night hotels. Paid for by the rank and file who sleep in tents. Yup, Lenin was right as well, when he called them “useful idiots.”
Let’s move to the world of bought and paid for “science”, and its poster child, James Hansen.
As Mr. Hinderaker points out, “…James Hansen, one of the two or three most prominent global warming alarmists on whose work the IPCC reports rest, “forgot” to report $1.6 million in outside income, as required by his government contracts. ”
Finally, let’s not forget the source of the ever so useful phrase, “Follow the Money.”

Monday Book Pick: Shotokan’s Secret
Shotokan’s Secret: Expanded Edition by Bruce Clayton
A very interesting book for both the martial artist and the historian. Mr. Clayton has done extensive research into finding the environment that drove the creation of hard style linear Karate. This system of martial arts came about in a specific time and place. A time and place that previously predominately practiced only empty handed systems based on Southern Kung Fu systems. Those systems had to be empty handed systems, because possession of a sword or any other restricted weapon by an Okinawan was punishable by death!
The first half of the book is pure history. The second half breaks apart the Shotokan katas and points out the hidden techniques. Techniques that had to be hidden at time the system was created. Very interesting stuff for the martial arts historian.

The damp clothing and cardboard signs wet with rain are also breeding grounds for mold. Some protesters are urinating in bottles and leaving food trash discarded throughout the campground, providing further opportunities for nastiness.
“Pretty much everything here is a good way to get sick,” Salvatore Cipolla, 23, from Long Island, told the Times. “It’ll definitely thin the herd.”
Some protesters have refused free flu shots, citing a “government conspiracy,” the Times said.
“One Percenter” J-Zay selling “occupy” themed t-shirts and is keeping all the profits. Yes, he is playing those idiots for suckers while claiming to “support” them. Lenin had it right. They are “useful idiots.”
