A look at ObamaCare

First off, the reality of the so-called “Affordable Care Act” being a Charlie Fox of epic proportions is not new.  This was clearly evident from the beginning.  I posted a  detailed lists of problems back  July, 2009. In early 2011, I listed over 20 new taxes created by Obamacare.

The shock that young people, who voted for our Dear Leader in droves, are experiencing with their old policies being canceled, being replaced by much more expensive ones, is not new news.  I posted about it back in September 2009.

Reason Magazine presents some cold hard facts on ObamaCare:

The real reason Obama insists upon making the young and healthy buy insurance they don’t want is not the relatively minor free rider problem but the potentially ruinous adverse selection problem: The most expensive patients are the ones who are most likely to sign up for coverage. To keep the official 10-year price tag of his plan below that magical $1 trillion threshold, he needs to balance sick people who rack up big bills with healthy people who pay for insurance but don’t use it. Instead of acknowledging this reality, Obama portrays the healthy uninsured as irresponsible leeches.

Yup, here is a dose of reality for all those idealistic young folks who voted for Obama without a real clue of what he was actually planning, he just views you as a money source he can leech off to support his socialist policies.

Welcome to the farm, Coppertop.

Mitt Romney’s predictions about an Obama second term were spot on

Of course, the Obama cultists attacked him and repeatedly used personal slurs, made religious bigoted comments, and manufactured one fake crisis after another in their hate fueled attacks on a good and decent man who dared point out that their own deity was just a man, and a man unqualified and uniquely unsuited for the office of President of the United states.

“Social liberalism is the foremost, predominant, and in many instances sole impulse for zealous regulation in this country, particularly in big cities. I love it when liberals complain about a ridiculous bit of PC nanny-statism coming out of New York, L.A., Chicago, D.C., Seattle, etc. — “What will they do next?”

Uh, sorry to tell you, but you are “they.” Outside of a Law and Order script — or an equally implausible MSNBC diatribe about who ruined Detroit — conservatives have as much influence on big-city liberalism as the Knights of Malta do.”

Another tech bubble in the making?

Michael Synder makes the following salient point over at Zero Hedge:

Shouldn’t Internet companies actually “make a profit” at some point before being considered worth billions of dollars?  A lot of investors laugh when they look back at the foolishness of the “Dotcom bubble” of the late 1990s, but the tech bubble that is inflating right in front of our eyes today is actually far worse.

For example, what would you say if I told you that a seven-year-old company that has a long history of not being profitable and that actually lost 64 million dollars last quarter is worth more than 13 billion dollars?

You would probably say that I was insane, but the company that I have just described is Twitter and Wall Street is going crazy for it right now.  Please don’t get me wrong – I actually love Twitter.  On my Twitter account I have sent out thousands of “tweets”.  Twitter is a lot of fun, and it has had a huge impact on the entire planet.  But is it worth 13 billion dollars?  Of course not.

You can talk about “brand value” all you want, but the companies with actual Brand Value are ones that are profitable, and have been for a long time.  That is what makes their brand valuable.  Twitter’s value is in improving someone else’s brand value, and trying to squeeze a profit out of that could kill the value that people currently see in Twitter.

Don’t Let The Hippies Shower by Stephen Kruiser

Political comedian turns author and produces a funny book that covers serious topics. His theory is that many social problems started when hippies started bathing and blending in with responsible adults. They then needed jobs, and unfortunately selected a job that gave them their summers off let them rot childrens’ brains with their hippy dribble. He has an interesting and surprisingly simple solution. Check it out.

The IRS “refunded” over $4 Billion to identity thieves. This included checks sent to Ireland and Communist China.  This is the agency our Dear Leader wants to collect “taxes” from you for not having health care insurance he approves of.

A Virginia DMV official pleaded guilty to issuing drivers licences to over 300 illegal aliens.  Leftists will tell you that this has nothing to do with vote fraud, because there is no vote fraud, and that we have always been at war with Eastasia.

Obama’s latest Secretary of State, former Massachusetts Senator, John F. Kerry, is a conspiracy kook.

Teacher’s Union official accuses a Jewish father of being a “Neo-Nazi” for daring to question his child’s indoctrination.  Rational arguments are not just a strong point of the left.

The Democrats who voted for the debacle are now scrambling for cover.

A key difference between Republican and democrat voters

If Republican congresscritters vote against their base, their base stops voting for them.

When democrat congresscritters vote for laws that hurt their base, the democrat base puts some makeup on their collective black eye, and mutter, “But he loves me,” and then votes for their serial abuser over and over again.

Round Up Post

File under “Follow the Money”, the Empress Michelle’s so-called “policy initiatives” are bought and paid for by big money lobbies.

HealthCare.gov Users Warn of Security Risk, Breach of Privacy  Golly, Obamacare is a poor designed fiasco of a web site.  No surprise there.

There’s an awful lot of middle-class sticker shock going on with these insurance cancellations…  If you have been listening to the NPR coverage, where they are setting new records for extreme spinning for our Dear Leader, those premiums are only increasing “slightly” and those who complain about it are “whiners.” If you want to see some of those price hikes, check out MyCancellation.com.

The leftists over at Politico admit that the so-called “mainstream media” ignored Conservatives’ warnings about Obamacare for years, and that those warnings were 100% accurate.  Poor Richard’s News sums it up nicely: ” The mainstream media willingly ignores the truth in favor of spoon feeding the American people talking points directly from the White House.”

No surprise here, the NY Times denies that Obama lied repeatedly to the American people.

Dead Six by Larry Correia and Mike Kupari

This is an upfront adventure story. Two groups of very skilled killers, one a group of mercenaries, the other a group of ruthless thieves. Both end up in a small Middle Eastern country and their missions often put them into conflict. Lots of action, very accurate weapons description and handling, shadow agencies, and grand conspiracies. I really enjoyed this book, a fun read with plenty of action and twists.
