Government Transparency, Obama Style!
Just how the porkulus money is being spent is something the Obama administration can’t tell us.
Posting “highly confidential safeguards sensitive” documents listing all the civilian nuclear sites and their activities in the United States on the Internet is apparently no problem.
I wish I was making this shit up. The official story is that this was an “accident“.
It would be comforting to think this was just another example of the incompetence that has been the norm for the Obama administration. However, given the mindset of the Obama political appointees who blocked the Justice Department staff lawyers from bringing charges of voter intimidation against the NBPP and by overruling the orders of two federal courts, stopped the State of Georgia from removing non-US citizens form their voter registration rolls, I can see one of those statist political appointee deciding that this is information that should be made available to the public. The actual threat to safety of American Citizens clearly isn’t part of their criteria.
No recession at the White House, Part II
Part I was our Dear Leader’s wife venturing out casually wearing $540 French designer sneakers.
Now it’s a tax payer funded “date night” trip to New York City on Air Force One our Dear Leader and his wife, while unemployment is climbing to Carter Era levels and Government Motors is expected to file for bankruptcy on Monday.
Our Dear Leader was “ready to rule on day one“, what he wasn’t ready for was to be the President of the United States of America.
The Obama Justice Department’s disturbing record on Civil Rights
Just in case you missed this one, here is a video replay.
Ms. Malkin has a followup post on the subject with links to Election Journal and the Washington Times.
If this is what we can expect from the Obama administration in the way the Justice Department handles Civil Rights cases, it is only going to get uglier. Seriously ugly, like Janet Reno ugly.
Biden got one thing right
Back in October 2008, Joey Biden told reporters the following about our Dear Leader:
“Remember I said it standing here if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”
“I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate,”
We can add to the existing list of Iranian saber rattling against Israel and an ever more aggressive Communist Chinese navy, North Korea reasserting itself as a nuclear power.
The insane, show tune singing dictator of Communist North Korea apparently feels that the world’s remaining superpower is no long much a threat to him. He’s betting that Barry is more concerned with spending billions on his buddies at ACORN, millions on hookers, and spending the USA into the poor house to worry about little old Kim Il Jong. Sadly, he may be right.
Barry gets it wrong again

In his reaction speech to former VP Cheney yesterday, our Dear Leader said,
‘We are not going to release anyone if it would endanger our national security, nor will we release detainees within the United States who endanger the American people. As we make these decisions, bear in mind the following fact; nobody has ever escaped from one of our federal “supermax” prisons, which hold hundreds of convicted terrorists.”
This statement is a wonderful example of Clintonian word selection. It is a prime example of doubleplus good duckspeak. The Harvard Law School should be proud.
While nobody has ever escaped from a federal Supermax prison, our Dear Leader leaves out the very important fact that they are full to capacity.
Whoops! There I go again, injecting a dose of reality into a feel good BHO speech again!
By way of Ms. Malkin is this article from the Denver Post
Supermax’s approximately 480 concrete cells already are jammed with the likes of Oklahoma City bombing co-conspirator Terry Nichols, Atlanta Olympics bomber Eric Rudolph and other notorious domestic criminals. There also are 33 international terrorists, including Sept. 11 conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui, 1993 World Trade Center bombing mastermind Ramzi Yousef and failed airline shoe bomber Richard Reid.
Only one bed was not filled Thursday at Supermax, U.S. Bureau of Prisons spokeswoman Tracy Billingsley said.
Details like this are important, and one would hope that the President was aware of it. Which leads us the conclusion that the didn’t want the American people to know that he’s trying to pull another fast one.
Our Dear Leader is under pressure from his far left extremist base to close Camp Delta at the Guantanamo Bay Naval Base. Unlike his far left extremist supporters, BHO has to deal with the actual reality of the situation, however distasteful that may be to him.
The Obama administration doesn’t meet the standards of breakfast foods
Michelle Malkin has a very informative article detailing how our Dear Leader‘s administration fails to meet the standards they want a breakfast cereal to meet.
Here are some of the highlights:
The White House claims 150,000 jobs have been “created or saved.” But since February, the nation has lost more than 1.3 million jobs. The current 8.9 percent unemployment rate in the wake of stimulus passage is worse than the 8.8 percent unemployment figure Obama’s economists darkly predicted if Congress didn’t immediately adopt their recovery plan. (See Innocent Bystanders.)
…
Washington told us the “stimulus” projects were “shovel-ready” and would provide immediate relief. They’re not. The New York Times notes that the program “has paid out less than 6 percent of the money, largely in the form of social service payments to states.”Democrat leaders baldly claimed that “There are no earmarks” in the bill. But untold tens of millions of dollars are headed to pet projects such as skateboard parks, tennis and basketball court renovation, the National Zoo, the $11 million Bridge to Microsoft, and Pennsylvania King of Pork Rep. John Murtha’s ghost airport to nowhere.
…
How about “Social Security?” There’s nothing secure about it. While Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid scoffed during the Bush years that “the so-called Security crisis exists in only one place – the minds of the Republicans,” the insolvency problem festered. Now, the Obama administration reports that both Social (In)security and Medicare are hurtling toward bankruptcy far sooner than previously estimated. The “trust funds” exist only in the minds of the deluded.
Yup, that’s right, democrat Senator Harry Reid lied to the American people. Instead of telling the truth, he used Social Security as a political tool to attack his enemies rather than do what is best for America. Nobody paying attention should be surprised by this.
The headline the MSM will never run
Filed under: Culture of Corruption, Our Dear Leader, Politics, Taxes, Tea Party
President Obama says, “The Tea Party protesters were right!”
That is the headline the MSM won’t run. The only part of it that isn’t true, is that our Dear Leader didn’t have the testicular fortitude to come out and say it.
What he did say is exactly what the tea party protesters were complaining about:
President Barack Obama, calling current deficit spending “unsustainable,” warned of skyrocketing interest rates for consumers if the U.S. continues to finance government by borrowing from other countries.
“We can’t keep on just borrowing from China,” Obama said at a town-hall meeting in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, outside Albuquerque. “We have to pay interest on that debt, and that means we are mortgaging our children’s future with more and more debt.”Holders of U.S. debt will eventually “get tired” of buying it, causing interest rates on everything from auto loans to home mortgages to increase, Obama said. “It will have a dampening effect on our economy.”
Kim Priestap points out the extreme hypocrisy of BHO’s behavior.
What a joke. Obama sends our deficit and debt levels into the stratosphere, and he has the nerve to actually lecture us about how dangerous that is. That is what the tea parties were all about. Hundreds of thousands of Americans took to the streets on April 15 to protest the outrageous spending the government has been doing under his watch, and what was his reaction? He ridiculed them. Then a few weeks later he goes to New Mexico and delivers a lecture about how irresponsible it is to spend money we don’t have. The gall.
Now that he has put us into the untenable position of having to borrow so much from China, he turns around and says we have to shore up health care. That means the government will spend even more money we don’t have to meddle in our lives.
That’s right kids, the Community Organizer in Chief is going to use this as an excuse to nationalize a large chunk of the National Economy. The same inefficient government hacks who run the Post Office
are going to be telling you what you can have for health care.
America elected a man with absolutely no executive experience what so ever and had never held a real job in his life. If you are surprised by his behavior, you haven’t been paying attention.
Translating Obamaspeak, Part 2
The second installment in Translating Obamaspeak.
“Cap and Trade” means “Cap and Tax” in English.
“Hope and Change” means “Dope and Fail” in English.
And remember kids, “We have always been at war with Eastasia.”
So much for Transparency
Our Dear Leader clearly doesn’t want the American public informed on his planned changes to the 2010 Census.
Secretary of Commerce Gary Locke came to Denver on Wednesday to meet with the group charged with raising public awareness about the upcoming census and closed the session to the public and media.
I can see why he doesn’t want any more news about the far left extremist group ACORN, already charged with massive voter fraud, being hired to “count” citizens for the census.
Obama blocks clean, safe & plentiful electrical power
Filed under: energy, Nuclear Power, Our Dear Leader, Politics
The American Thinker reports that our Dear Leader is planning on killing any new Nuclear Power Plants by cutting funding for storage of what should be reusable fuel.
This is a clear indication that our Dear Leader feels that pandering to the watermelon moonbats that make up his base is more important than rebuilding the American economy and energy independence. Personally, I’m not surprised.
