Reality is clearly not her strong point

August 3, 2011 – 18:50 | by admin

The DNC’s so called “spokesperson” Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz is still on her long term vacation from reality.

The latest example is her claiming that “We’ve Really Begun To Turn The Economy Around.”

If she means that the democrats have turned the economy around by wedging it even further in the ditch he and the congressional democrats have wedged into with their Keynesian policies, then ya, she could be inhabiting the shared reality of rational adults, but I really don’t think that is the case.

Let’s review a couple of recent indicators of just how the American economy is doing.

Unemployment rose in more than 90 percent of U.S. cities in June

An increase in layoffs in the sector helped push the number of announced U.S. jobs cuts to a 16-month high.

There is also the decrease in demand for manufactured goods, the recent downgrades in the GDP for the past year, and rising inflation.

If you want to spot check this, drive around your local town and see how many empty store fronts and office buildings there are.  Are there more or less than there were a year ago?  Unless you live in Texas, the answer is probably more.

This is a slight rewrite of something I published online about four and a half years ago.

I take a Democrat candidate seriously for the same reason that I pay attention to the any individual or group of menacing strangers when I make a taxi run in a bad neighborhood. It is the reasonable expectation that they may harm me.

Over the last three decades that I have observed the Democrats I have noticed that not only do they persistently take a wrong position on an issue, they will often do so as a simple mindless negation of the Republican position.

Violent Crime: Don’t accept as a fact of reality that it is an act of will on the part of the criminal. Don’t apprehend, prosecute, imprison, or where warranted execute the criminal. Instead attack innocent people, disarm them, and leave them helpless in the face of a growing population of violent criminals.

That’s just one example. I could go on about insanity of their positions on National Defense, Energy Policy, Taxation, etc.

The Democrats are not just a party that has to be opposed on individual issues. They are demonstrating that they are following a mental methodology that consistently places them in opposition to reality.

But reality is real, opposing it will hurt you.

And empty store fronts? Every day I feel like I’m driving through the opening chapter of Atlas Shrugged.
