Characters and Combat<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">2. Starships<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">3. Worlds and Adventures<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s it and it was all you needed to get started. \u00a0Define your character, how to get to other planets, and what you find once you get there.<\/p>\n<p>Oh there was more, GDW published additional rule books, adventures, and other supplements, including two reworkings of the rule set. Those were MegaTraveller and Traveller: The New Era.<\/p>\n<p>Steve Jackson Games put out <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/s?ie=UTF8&amp;Submit=Go&amp;Submit.x=0&amp;Submit.y=0&amp;index=blended&amp;keywords=GURPS%20traveller&amp;link_code=qs&amp;tag=eclipsswebwarren\">a licensed version for their GURPS rules<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/s?ie=UTF8&amp;Submit=Go&amp;Submit.x=0&amp;Submit.y=0&amp;index=blended&amp;keywords=Mongoose%20traveller&amp;link_code=qs&amp;tag=eclipsswebwarren\">Mongoose Publishing is producing books with that LBB (Little Black Book) feel<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve enjoyed Traveller for a lot of years, and it has a very rich and detailed game history that you can use or ignore as you desire.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The classic SciFi RPG is Traveller. \u00a0Originally released in 1977 by GDW (Games Designer Workshop) and written by Marc Miller.
