Debate roundup

Wednesday, October 3rd, 2012

The first Presidential debate between our Dear Leader and Gov. Romney occurred tonight.  Here are some reviews of the one sided pounding.

MATT WELCH: “That wasn’t a debate so much as Mitt Romney just took Obama for a cross country drive strapped to the roof of his car.”

BOB OWENS: “How bad was Romney’s beat-down of Obama tonight?”

Ed Schultz & Rachel Maddow agree: Romney won.  When a far left extremist socialist looses MSNBC, you know he did really, truly, incredibly badly.

Washington Post: ROUND WON: Romney Seized Offense in Debate…

The Hill: Mitt Romney dominated the critical first presidential debate Wednesday night, landing punch after punch on a noticeably subdued President Obama.

Bewildered and lost without his teleprompter, President Obama flailed all around the debate stage last night. He was stuttering, nervous and petulant. It was like he had been called in front of the principal after goofing around for four years and blowing off all his homework.

What will it take for the MSM to call it a good month for Gov. Romney?

Sunday, September 23rd, 2012

First, let us review this chart of the Gallup tracking poll.  HT to the PJ Tatler

Now the left leaning MSM/DNC has been calling the past month a “bad month” for Gov. Romney.  I don’t think the word “bad” means what they think it means.

Keep in mind that this is the Gallup poll, not the historically more accurate Rasmussen poll.   It is also a poll of registered voters, not likely voters.  Add to that the historic trend of Gallup and most other polls over ratting Obama by several points.

Given all that, plus what is charitably called a “lackluster” recovery that is in danger of slipping back into a recession, it looks like polls, like this Gallup poll, are being carefully crafted to try and make the MSM/DNC label of a “bad month” for Gov. Romney appear to be true.  Even with them cooking the books, this polls shows a challenger running dead even with an incumbent President with the election less than two months away.

Keep in mind, most polls had Jimmy Carter, the worst President of the latter half of the 2oth Century, four points ahead of Ronald Reagan at this point in the 1980 election.

An observation on political yards signs

Monday, September 17th, 2012

As I drove around town this weekend I notices something very consistent with political yard signs.

Every small business, most independently owned, with a yard sign had signs for Scott Brown and/or Marty Lamb.

Scott Brown is running for re-election in the US Senate, on the Republican ticket and Marty Lamb is running for State Representative, also on the Republican ticket.

Senator Brown’s opponent is a Harvard law professor, who makes over $300,000 a year for teaching a single class and claims she “represents the people.”  Elizabeth Warren is best known for falsely claiming to have Cherokee Indian ancestors and using that claim to obtain benefits as a minority.

Small business owners are intimately familiar with the negative effect democrats have had on the economy since taking control of Congress and the White House and clearly do not want that to continue

Our Dear Leader’s Ego

Wednesday, September 5th, 2012

Clearly, our Dear Leader, Barack Hussein Obama, the “Lightbringer”, has fallen into the trap of believing his own marketing.

The proof of this is this recent interview with Cathleen Falsani of the Chicago Sun-Times:

Falsani: Do you believe in sin?

Obama: Yes.

Falsani: What is sin?

Obama: Being out of alignment with my values.

That’s right folks. According to our Dear Leader, if you disagree with him, you are a sinner.

Let’s leave all the implications of his psychology issues alone for a moment, and oh boy, are there a lot of them, and instead look at BHO’s supporters, or as he refers to them, worshippers.  These barking moonbats are a flutter over the fact that Gov. Romney is a member of the LDS church.  They will tell you, every chance they get, that this disqualifies him for public office.

The fact that they are blindly following a leader who literally believes that  “alignment with my values” is a sin does not cause any contradiction with them is very enlightening also.

Quote of the Day

Tuesday, September 4th, 2012

“There’s a choice this election, alright. Which side are you on? If you’re on the side that fantasizes about knocking an 82 year old man off a stage for laughing at your leader, you might want to examine your soul.” If, you know, you still have one.”

Our Dear Leader’s Dan Quayle moment

Here we see our Dear Leader visiting the key swing state of Ohio, and not being able to correctly spell ‘Ohio.’

Before the moonbats go nuts with their conspiracy theories, zoom in on the photo and you can see the lettering on the red shirt behind him.
Not reversed, not Photoshopped, just Barack Hussein Obama being himself, unscripted and flying without a teleprompter.

The Onion nails the left’s bed wetting fear of Rep. Paul Ryan

Monday, August 13th, 2012

The Onion posts a “Letter from Rep. Ryan to the left.”

Admit It, I Scare The Ever-Loving Shit Out Of You, Don’t I? By Paul Ryan Candidate for Vice President of the United States August 13, 2012 | ISSUE 48•33

When Mitt Romney selected me as his running mate, I knew the Democratic attack dogs would come out in full force…. But if we’re being honest with each other—if we’re able to put aside the talking points for a few minutes and say what we’re all actually thinking and feeling—I believe we can acknowledge the real truth here.

I’m young, I’m handsome, I’m smart, and I’m articulate. And that scares the ever-loving shit out of you. You can pretend like you have this thing in the bag, but you know good goddamn well that this race just got real interesting, real fast.

It’s okay to admit it. You’re frightened to death of me. It might actually be healthy for you to face your fears now rather than later, when Mitt and I are leading by a few points in the polls and it looks like this thing might end badly for you. Face it: I’m not some catastrophe waiting to happen, like a Sarah Palin or a Dan Quayle. On the contrary, you have the exact opposite fear. I’m a solid, competent, some might say exceptional, politician.

Did you get nervous when you read that last sentence? Is it because you know in your heart of hearts that it’s 100 percent true? Is it because, even if you strongly disagree with my beliefs on Medicare, Social Security, women’s rights, and marriage equality, you know my talent as a speaker and my well-thought-out approach to these issues—no matter how radical and convoluted you find them—might just be enough to win over independent voters?

Do you get chills just thinking about how strong my appeal actually is?
