The Hypocrisy of the Left Knows No Bounds

I saw a leftist ranting on Facebook ranting because a firearm retailer was raffling off a semi-automatic rifle.

Now he called this popular firearm an “assault rifle.” The leftist in question is actually fairly intelligent and well educated. Calling a semi-automatic rifle an “assault rifle” is a sign of ignorance or a deliberate lie committed to create confusion in order to promote an extremist anti-civil rights political agenda. I’ll let you draw your own conclusion in this case.

The same leftist is still ranting about the murders committed in Newtown, committed by a mentally ill adult who violated multiple existing laws in order to obtain firearms he couldn’t obtain legally. When asked about the over three hundred Mexicans killed by semi-automatic rifles supplied to Mexican drug cartels by President Obama’s “Fast & Furious” illegal gun running program, he responded that he “didn’t care.” He also doesn’t care that as many children are killed in drug gang related firearm violence in Chicago every year as were slain in Newtown. Is it because the children in Newtown were mostly White, while the three hundred Mexicans were mostly had brown colored skin and the children in Chicago had mostly black colored skin? Given the left’s history of institutional racism, it would not be surprising. It could also be that his so called “outrage” is politically motivated. Over three hundred Mexicans murdered by Obama’s illegal gun running program or dozens of children killed in Obama’s home town of Chicago doesn’t promote his far left extremist agenda. So he ignores them and repeats leftist talking points instead of engaging in rational debate. I’ll let you draw your own conclusion in this case.

A double shot of Maher

April 23, 2013 by · Leave a Comment

Bill Maher is a Hollywood leftist who has found a very successful niche attacking anyone to the right of Ann Coulter and repeating leftist talking points.

He does have a fairly well developed bullshit detector, which he will on rare occasions unleash on someone on the left.  There are two recent examples of this, which is a sign of just how far the extremist loopy left is gaining traction among the useful idiots that make up the majority of our Dear Leader‘s core of low information voters.

First up, we have Maher’s reaction to Uber-Nanny Bloomberg’s neurotic desire to control the smallest aspects of the lives of those he considers beneath him.

Here is the money quote:”…there’s something wrong about the seventh richest man in the world sitting in bed at night thinking, “You know what people shouldn’t do? Drink too much Sprite. Let’s make that a law.” That makes me want to join the Tea Party and marry Ann Coulter, you know, and that’s not where I want to be.”

FYI, Maher and Coulter actually get along better than most would expect. Maher actually speaks well of Ms. Coulter in the Coulter Bio-Pic “Is It True What They Say About Ann?

Regardless of Mr. Maher’s true feelings about Ann Coulter, he  is absolutely spot on correct about Bloomberg.  The fact that it’s Hollywood leftist Maher pointing this out makes it much more damning of the silence from the left of the so-called “liberals” over Bloomberg’s assault on the rights of American citizens.

Next we have Maher calling “Liberal Bullshit” on the all too common left talking point that Christianity, which Maher is no fan of, is as dangerous in the modern world as Islam. Here is where he bitch slaps Brian Levy, director of the Center for the Study of Hate & Extremism at California State University in San Bernardino, while wearing the gauntlet of reality.

BRIAN LEVIN: But could I just interject? Look, it’s not like people who are Muslim who do wacky things have a monopoly on it. We have hypocrites across faiths, Jewish, Christian who say they’re out for God and end up doing not so nice things.

MAHER: You know what? Yeah, yeah. You know what? That’s liberal bullshit right there. I mean, yes, all faiths –

LEVIN: Are there no Christian hypocrites?

MAHER: No, there are. They’re just –

LEVIN: You make a career on that.

MAHER: They’re not as dangerous. I mean, there’s only one faith, for example, that kills you or wants to kill you if you draw a bad cartoon of the prophet. There’s only one faith that kills you or wants to kill you if you renounce the faith. An ex-Muslim is a very dangerous thing. Talk to Salman Rushdie after the show about Christian versus Islam. So, you know, I’m just saying, let’s keep it real.

Once again, it the source of the bullshit calling that drives home the insane position the extremist left is taking.  Maher produced a movie attacking religion, and focused his attack mainly on Christianity!  The fact that it is him pointing out that in the early 21st Century it is only Islam that wants to kill you just for drawing a cartoon with their pedophile prophet in it, and it’s utter and complete “liberal bullshit” to compare that to the Roman Catholic Church saying that they won’t marry same sex couples in their churches.

As I have said before, for the left, their political agenda always trumps the truth.  These example of a Hollywood leftist like Bill Maher calling Bullshit on them just shows how far the gap is between the political agenda of the lefts that haven taken control of the American democrat party and the reality that rational human beings live in is.

Happy Lenin’s Birthday!

Yup, it’s time for the annual Lenin’s Birthday post!

For those of you coming in late to the party, Earth Day” is on Lenin’s Birthday.  Not a coincidence, given that the “founder” of Earth Day was much more a “Watermelon” than an actual environmentalist. Watermelon: Thin layer of green of the outside, red to the core.

Let’s review the predictions from the very first so called “Earth Day” back in 1970.

“Civilization will end within 15 or 30 years unless immediate action is taken against problems facing mankind.” — George Wald, Harvard Biologist

“Population will inevitably and completely outstrip whatever small increases in food supplies we make. The death rate will increase until at least 100-200 million people per year will be starving to death during the next ten years.” — Paul Ehrlich, Stanford University biologist

“By…[1975] some experts feel that food shortages will have escalated the present level of world hunger and starvation into famines of unbelievable proportions. Other experts, more optimistic, think the ultimate food-population collision will not occur until the decade of the 1980s.” — Paul Ehrlich, Stanford University biologist

“It is already too late to avoid mass starvation,” — Denis Hayes, chief organizer for Earth Day

“Demographers agree almost unanimously on the following grim timetable: by 1975 widespread famines will begin in India; these will spread by 1990 to include all of India, Pakistan, China and the Near East, Africa. By the year 2000, or conceivably sooner, South and Central America will exist under famine conditions….By the year 2000, thirty years from now, the entire world, with the exception of Western Europe, North America, and Australia, will be in famine.” — Peter Gunter, professor, North Texas State University

“Scientists have solid experimental and theoretical evidence to support…the following predictions: In a decade, urban dwellers will have to wear gas masks to survive air pollution…by 1985 air pollution will have reduced the amount of sunlight reaching earth by one half….” — Life Magazine, January 1970

“At the present rate of nitrogen buildup, it’s only a matter of time before light will be filtered out of the atmosphere and none of our land will be usable.” — Kenneth Watt, Ecologist

“Air pollution…is certainly going to take hundreds of thousands of lives in the next few years alone.” — Paul Ehrlich, Stanford University biologist

Ok, Ehrlich was sorta right on this, if you restrict his predictions to modern Communist China, where they are showing the typical communist/socialist contempt for the environment.

“By the year 2000, if present trends continue, we will be using up crude oil at such a rate…that there won’t be any more crude oil. You’ll drive up to the pump and say, `Fill ‘er up, buddy,’ and he’ll say, `I am very sorry, there isn’t any.’” — Kenneth Watt, Ecologist

Now we get to my personal favorite, although probably not Al Gore‘s…
“The world has been chilling sharply for about twenty years,” he declared. “If present trends continue, the world will be about four degrees colder for the global mean temperature in 1990, but eleven degrees colder in the year 2000. This is about twice what it would take to put us into an ice age.” — Kenneth Watt, Ecologist

It wouldn’t be Lenin’s Birthday with out this clip of the late George Carlin discussing “Saving the Planet.”

Quote of the Day

“[L]iberals are chock-full of conspiracy theories. They invoke weird personal obsessions like a conversational deus ex machina to trump all facts. You think you’re talking about the war in Iraq and suddenly you start getting a disquisition on Nixon, oil, the neoconservatives, Vietnam (Tom Hayden discusses gang violence in Los Angeles as it relates to Vietnam), or whether Bill O’Reilly’s former show, Inside Edition, won the Peabody or the Peanuckle Award. This is because liberals, as opposed to sentient creatures, have a finite number of memorized talking points, which they periodically try to shoehorn into unrelated events, such as when Nancy Pelosi opposed the first Gulf war in 1991 on the grounds that it would cause environmental damage in Kuwait.”

Quote of the Day

“Tainting the tea party movement with the charge of racism is proving to be an effective strategy for Democrats. There is no evidence that tea party adherents are any more racist than other Republicans, and indeed many other Americans. But getting them to spend their time purging their ranks and having candidates distance themselves should help Democrats win in November. Having one’s opponent rebut charges of racism is far better than discussing joblessness.”

– Mary Frances Berry,  former Chairwoman, US Commission on Civil Rights.  Clearly she has a basic misunderstanding of the actual meaning of Civil Rights. Given that she was appointed by that idiot James Earl Carter III, this is hardly surprising.

Note that she freely admits there is no factual basis for her accusation of racism.  It is merely a tactic of the radical left to avoid discussion on their own failures.

Low information network

…for low information voters.  Yup, that would be the far left extremists at the so-called “news network” MSNBC.

Let’s review the facts of the matter, Pew Research studies have shown that MSNBC content is only 15% actual news.

Compare that to the Emmanuel Goldstein of every “open minded” so-called “progressive”, Fox News, which is much more “Fair and Balanced” with a commentary/News ratio of 55%/45%.  That’s right, dear readers, you get three times more actual news at Fox News than you do at MSNBC.

Now let us take a look at some of the mis-information MSNBC is passing on to it’s core audience of low information voters.   Hot Hair has a couple of videos that illustrate how MSNBC carefully edits the information they pass to their viewers in order to advance their left wing extremist political agenda.  In the first video, the MSNBC talking heads go to great length to imply that Senator Cruz lacks a basic understanding of the Heller case, as well as a basic understanding of the Constitution itself.   In order to promote their politically motivated commentary, they have to ignore what Senator Cruz said in the second video, which is from the same hearing they are attacking him over! In the second clip, Senator Cruz notes that he argued the Heller case before the Supreme Court (which he won), and shreds the case the MSNBC talking heads tried to make.  Just to add insult to injury, one of the MSNBC talking heads, who is supposed to be their token conservative, accuses the NRA of playing games with language for using the correct term “semi-automatic” rifle instead of the nonsense term “Assault Weapon.”  Anyone who has bother to do the basic research on the subject would know that the term “Assault Weapon” was coined by victim disarmament activist Josh Sugarman.  He deliberately wanted to confuse people by implying that semi-automatic weapons were fully automatic weapons that have been under strict federal regulation since 1936.

Another example is Rachel Maddow, supposedly the “smart” one at MSNBC attacking House Minority Leader Boehner for, correctly, stating that US Constitution has a preamble. Here is a video of Maddow claiming that the US Constitution doesn’t have a preamble.

My theory is that Maddow really is aware that the Constitution has a preamble, but is smart enough to know that most of her core audience aren’t the type to actually read the US Constitution.  Even the ever so small minority of those viewers who are aware that she made a mistake, wouldn’t admit it, since it goes against their political agenda.  For the left, their political agenda always trumps the truth.

Leftist bias vs. reality

I was listening to a tech podcast where a couple of California were making fun of Texas Governor Rick Perry.

Let’s compare Texas under the leadership of Gov. Perry to California under Governor Moonbeam.

Let’s start with unemployment for January 2013

Texas: 6.3%

California: 9.8%

The federal U3 rate for January was 7.9%

So Texas was under the national rate by 1.3% while California was over the national rate by 1.9%

Take a look at job growth in Texas vs. California, and population shifts.  The people California needs to pay its criminally high tax rates are leaving California.  One of the more popular destinations of those fleeing Governor Moonbeam’s socialist paradise is Texas.

It’s clear that the tech reporters in question were laughing based on their leftist political bias, and not economic reality.

“For serious Buddhists, it’s not hard at all to admit the non-attainment of the ultimate metaphysical state of Nirvana — it’s supposed to be hard, and can take a lifetime. (Or, you know, several lifetimes.) But liberals have this notion that believing in liberalism is itself a very efficient shortcut to that exalted state of emptiness of ego. A Kerry-Edwards bumper-sticker gets you pretty much as far as a lifetime of devotion to the teachings of Krishna.”

Sometimes the truth will slip out of a leftist’s mouth

Bill Maher, a far left extremist, has a rare moment of honesty:

The Obama administration has been heavily targeting whistleblowers and information activists. What can we do to hold the government accountable for this harsh crackdown?” Yeah, the Democrats, [Laughs], their view on Obama seems to be “God, what he does would be awful if it was a Republican”

Leftist Tina Brown notes in the same program: “…he’d be impeached by now for drones if he was W. Bush.”

Ya, sometimes the truth will slip out of a leftist’s mouth.
